Test Prints

Test prints for the human wizard and half-elf cleric minis that will be coming out this month (wizard was already released here). Also snuck in the young blue dragon from 2016 which I wanted to try reprinting and running through the cameo paper cutter.

Was planning on a standard sized mind flayer, possibly an alternate version, then a couple sidekick minis - brain rats from Volo's for sure, possibly a thrall, not sure ye

PrintableHeroes

Question about the Mind flayer. Is it going to be like the normal sized minis with alts or be like a few different minis that all match the mind flayer theme like int devourer & elder brain etc.

I'd love to and I have lots of ideas - I've been itching to try my hand at some BloodBowl themed minis, and I've been dying to try creating some starsiege/battletech mechs the size of the giants i've done in the past - would be so god damn cool. I've also just recently started a more longer term project of developing some redwall/mouseguard type animal paper minis. At the moment I have an established style and process for the fantasy stuff so it's easier for me to dive in and knock them out in a month, but the process of developing new "lines" of minis requires lots of pre-production that I've had to spread out in between everything else. TL;DR: Working on it!

PrintableHeroes

Yeah! I currently have some (fancy) rocks and assorted dungeon furnishings I've been working on whenever I need a break from the more complicated character work. I've also working on a more longer term project creating some maps that i really need to find more time for...

PrintableHeroes

What about minis for a genre other than fantasy? Sci-fi, horror, cyberpunk?

David Bloom

Have you considered making non creature/hero minis like terrain? Trees, dungeon furnishings, doors, in your style would be amazing.

CrashGem

These are wonderful. Great work!!

Mat Andre

They look fantastic as usual! How could I not support quality work like this!?

Dominic Wenger

Awesome, that is great to hear :D I'm hoping to have the clerics release this weekend.

PrintableHeroes

Your minis always look great! I'm so glad I found out about you. You've probably saved me a ton of money and time from not having to buy and paint traditional miniatures. Do you know when you'll release the clerics? They're exactly what I need for a PC.

I just use the paper bases that I include in the PDF files for these minis. I print them out on the same sheet of glossy photo paper that I print the minis out on and then glue the mini's to 'em.

PrintableHeroes

Yup. These were on 65lb glossy photo paper.

PrintableHeroes

What are you using for bases?

David Bloom

And I guess Photo paper ?

Woodleg

I picked up a Silhouette Cameo 3 cutting machine at the tail end of last year, just starting to feel comfortable with it.

PrintableHeroes

Love how the cameo cuts the border close and clean!!!!

Michael

What are you using, to have a such beautilful cut edges ?
