My Dorm v.0.22 Progress Report (VI)
Added 2024-12-08 22:58:53 +0000 UTCI've spent most of the last 5 days writing. What only five days? Yes, but don't worry, I won't torture you every 5 days from now on. This time it's to return to the Sunday reports since the last one was last Tuesday.
As I said, I spent most of the week writing. I finished writing scenes 10, 12, 13, and 14. ~5,400 words. What happened to #11? I started to write it but, being a lewd, I wasn't in the required mood to do it. So I stopped and spent time with the other ones.
I also rendered scenes 10 and 13, and parts of 14 for 221 renders. And here is when the news goes bad. I removed 2 animations (one for every path, 804 frames adding both) from scene #11. I didn't like them and even if I tried to correct them, it didn't work. The other 7 animations for that scene should be enough.
TL;DR: Right now, the update (with one scene to write) is 25,500 words (+5,400 respect the last report) and 13,796 renders done (-589 respect the last report due to removing those animations)

thank you :)

2024-12-08 23:32:03 +0000 UTCThanks! Don't worry, I spend quality time with my wife every day in the evening and the whole Sunday afternoon. But you know what the problem is? She's also eager to continue reading the story. She also collaborates with a lot of things. For example, I had two candidates for Lisa's new hairstyle. The one you vote for (or against) is the one she chose.

2024-12-08 23:25:41 +0000 UTCThanks! I'm very happy with my release cycle for the content I publish. It could be better, but I should work on my full-time job. I think that different games' release cycles can't be compared because the devs can have different circumstances. I'm lucky I have a daytime job that allows me to do some work in the game occasionally (I move by train when visiting some customers, and I use that time to write, for example). My family supports me and doesn't mind (too much) if I spend long hours rendering. Other devs aren't as fortunate. I talked to another dev last week (one of the big and famous ones who had been in this long before I started) who hides what he does from his family. It should be hard to do this in the shadows, both mentally and time-wise. I couldn't hide to my wife that I spent 14h yesterday working on this! There's no human way to do it. I could hide 2 hours today or one tomorrow, but 14 on the same day??? No way.

2024-12-08 23:21:49 +0000 UTCTrop at it again ladies and pervs! But for real Trop I appreciate what you do for the community, but don’t forget to spend quality time with your wife. My wife and I both love Erika on each of our personal “canon”. Keep up the good work but take a break if you haven’t been.

2024-12-08 23:14:30 +0000 UTCThanks! I'm not particularly eager to give a deadline because anything could happen that delays it, so I understand the "it's done when it's done". But I also want you to know if I procrastrinated or worked hard in the last days (SPOILER: I worked hard 😉). You are supporting me and keeping you informed about what I'm working in is the least I should do. Next weekend, if everything goes well, I will be ready to start publishing definitive data (total words and renders, table of content, tentative release dates, etc.)

2024-12-08 23:11:06 +0000 UTCYou're one of the better devs at communicating and putting out content promptly. I've seen other devs take a year for an entire episode

2024-12-08 23:06:40 +0000 UTCI love how active you are with the updates. A lot of developers tend to be, “it’s done when it’s done” which isn’t bad. I just dig how active you are
