v.0.17 Progress Report (IV)

What happened this week? A lot of writing, some rendering, and a bit of testing.
Scenes 1st to 11th (and parts of 12th) are written. The word count went up from last week ~8,600 to ~21,000.
The renders are going at a good pace too. Last week I was at 3,213 and now I have 3,814 renders posed (247 of them should be rendered). I tagged 4,412 renders in total (from what I have written) so I think the update will be around 5,000 renders long.
I still have to finish writing scenes 12th to 15-16th so I think the update will be around 25,000-27,000 words long (shorter than the previous one but with a lot more renders). As I said, Maddie's scenes ate a lot of development time.

2024-04-04 23:05:14 +0000 UTCI agree. I work 40h/week at my job and they look a lot worse and more tiresome than the 70-80h I spend with our girls. Once, in crunch time when release was approaching, I worked 17h on My Dorm the same day. And enjoyed every one of them. My wife didn't. After that she only allows me to work for until lunch time on Sundays. The rest of the Sunday is hers. 😉

Some days ago I thought about what you said on the differences in update schedules in different AVNs. It would be great if the "aggregator sites" had something like "Content published during the last year" (Updates, words, renders, playtime) so different AVNs could be compared. Someone told me today about an AVN that updated almost a year after the last one with 40-50 renders and 300-400 words. It looks the same on those sites as other AVNs that publish once a year with 50,000 words and 6,000 renders (inventing the numbers). In the last year, My Dorm has published 198,000+ words and 25,100+ renders in 9 updates, and I'm sure other games have done even bigger content or, at least, more updates.
