Patreon once again doing Patreon-ish things
Added 2024-02-28 22:57:26 +0000 UTCI've been informed Patreon is witch-hunting Discord servers that have things that don't comply with their ToS. So I disconnected my Discord server from Patreon. I'm sorry you lost your roles and fancy colors there. If any of you want their role back on Discord, please write me there.
I'm totally against this witch-hunt on services that don't have anything to do with Patreon. What will be next? Will they come to my home to see if I have anything that is against their ToS?

My parents were born in the first years after the Civil War and suffered a lot, with their mother languages (Catalan in my father's case, and Euskera in my mother's) forbidden in public use and a lot of other things. They worked hard to prevent their children from experiencing the same.

Different kinds of corporations, but corporations nonetheless. Based in Rome, Jerusalem, Mecca, or wherever. Complying with a "morality" because of fear (fear of losing PayPal as a payment processor, for example) doesn't make anyone a better person. It only makes that person a hypocrite if they wouldn't comply with that "morality" if that fear didn't exist.

Losing a lot of money (Adult creators, not only games, provide them around 26% of their public income), and that someone sees the chance to create another platform with fewer arbitrary restrictions.
