v.0.16 - Progress Report (V) and Table of Contents

Another Monday, another Progress Report. This time with juicy news.

I wrote a lot this week. I mean a lot. I finished writing the update (only small rewrites are left while I'm posing the scenes). The update will fall a bit short of 30,000 words. Yes, 30,000! I couldn't stop! I was at ~18,200 last Monday. Surprise! It's the biggest update ever in the word count.

I also translated a lot. The first 4 scenes, those ~18,200 words, ended up being 19,065 once translated. The proofreaders have those 4 scenes in their hands (both in text format and as a playable beta). They loved them.

About renders, I focused on writing this week, so not a lot of renders have been done. There were 3,267 renders done last week and now it's 3,410, so I've only done 143. Only 525 to finish the tagged renders (they surely will go up by 20-50 while I'm posing). It will fall short of 4,000 renders, so not the biggest update ever. It will be the 3rd ever.

I fixed the profile screen too. It took some tinkering to fix the incorrect data and add the metric-imperial conversion, but I needed to do it in this update, and it's a one-time thing. You will discover why it was important to do it this time.

Related to the above, the in-game days are going to be related to actual dates. It doesn't make much sense to talk about "Day 18" and not know what day of the month it is, or even what month it is. Even less so, now that the birthdays are correct. Yes, some birthdays are coming up. I will continue to talk about "Day 18" and not show the date when the day changes. I don't want to fall into the trap of different date systems. "23rd of July?" "July 23rd?". But the date the MC arrives home becomes canon on the 5th of July (July 5th).

Table of Contents

What is in the update? Lots of story advances and one of the hottest (in my opinion) and, at the same time, funniest scenes I've ever written.

• Taking Meemaw to the doc (pre-open the path).
• Running with Debbie (open the path).
• Shooting Lessons and Knowing more about Eva.
• Lunch with Eva. Introduction to the family.
• Calling Maddie.
• Conversation with Saira. More about her (final choice about her path).
• Picking up Megan.
• Martha's pregnancy test results.
• Norah's pregnancy test results.
• Picking up Amanda (teaser).

Most scenes have been fun to write. 

Some others have been emotionally hard, especially the pregnancy tests when they come out negative. Yes, some soulless players don't want to make Martha or Norah pregnant! 😉 Just kidding. But they will see a different scene than the ones who impregnated the ladies.

I would say it's an update with a good balance between story progression, LI's relationship advances, and lewd scenes. Yes, I know, there could have been more lewd scenes. I will compensate you for it in the next update!

When will it be published?

My goal is to publish it next week but, depending on how the rendering goes, I could even publish the update this weekend. I only need to render 525(+) images, translate ~11,000 words, test everything, and whip the proofreaders and testers into doing their job within an impossible timeframe while I add the music and SFX. I doubt I can make it before next week. I will try, but I won't rush it.
