The Vampire has been testing to see if the Listener has the trait to use very minor magic, and thus leading to some illusion shenanigans. The Vampire and the Listener sit down to have “the talk” about the Listener becoming a vampire themselves. Eventually, they agree, and the Listener is turned into a vampire and the last part about the Vampire’s Diamond phenomenon is revealed!
