Background:

Kobika was born to a Katsangi woman who had dared to steal a relic of the old gods. She was banished from her tribe, and had fled into the deep jungles. Her child was blessed by the relic, but the woman was not. The woman was killed by invading humans who captured the relic. Kobika, the baby, was spared.

Kobika was found by the Taltha tribe and was raised by the caretakers, though they knew they had discovered something special as Kobika grew larger than any Katsangi they had seen before. As Kobika came of age, the tribe thrust her into the role of their leader, believing the young woman was blessed by the gods and sent to lead them to greatness.

Kobika has lived a life of luxury in her great stone palace, having captured and overtaken a few other tribes through sheer might. She has enjoyed the company of many servants, both Katsangi and Human. But, she longs for a life of adventure, for a life traveling, exploring, and living. She cares not for her chieftainess duties, but she continues to try to fill them for the sake of her people.
