Background:

Samaria was born under an auspicious sign in Khomid, to a small sect of Demi-Katsangis who were banished from their verdant homeland ages ago. Samaria has no memory of her time spent with her blood family, save for some visions. During a tragic encounter in the deserts of Khomid, one of Samaria’s parents was killed. The raiders kept the baby girl alive and brought her to a city where she was sold to a traveling priest from the Holy Ephostos Kingdom. The priest sought both to rescue the child from a life of struggle and strife, but also to provide something special to his order. He had recognized the child was special, perhaps through his magical prowess, or perhaps simply because Samaria was a rather large child. The traveling priest belonged to an order that sought out warriors for their holy cause. He searched the lands for talent to snatch up. He gave the young and destitute prospects a home, but he also took them to be trained into warriors meant to protect and accompany the temple priestesses. Under the tutelage of the temple, Samaria learned special techniques to face magical beasts and terrifying creatures. The 9 foot tall Amazon had her fair share of troubles growing up with the mostly human population of the holy kingdom. In the end, she became an important warrior in the temple. She was assigned to protect the priestess Abigail.

Samaria often appears as a fish out of water, but she’s greatly interested in experiencing cultures all around the world. She’s usually calm and collected but is known to have a temper. She enjoys any sort of revelry and often tries to brighten peoples’ days. Of course, at her size she can often wind up causing various accidents. She's no stranger to broken furniture, or the occasional knocked over peasant.

Power/Abilities: Samaria has few innate powers to speak of. Her auspicious birth under the sign of the eclipse has given her some special abilities, though she doesn’t understand how to access most of them at the start of her story. Otherwise, she was taught some very basic magics that would help her fight threats to the priestesses.

• Flame Weapon - Samaria can call forth flames to wreathe her blade for a short amount of time
• Meteoric Weapon - Samaria can enhance her blades with minerals from the ground, granting them extra weight and strength
• Orb of Fire - Samaria can conjure forth a rolling ball of fire to burn her enemies. The orb disappears once she stops concentrating on the spell
• Fortified Flesh - Samaria’s skin is strong and unbending to some mundane attacks. It’s not a replacement for armor, but it will get stronger as she does.

Skills: Combat skills, trained with the temple fighting style, able to blend might with magic. Samaria mostly knows tricks for fighting humanoids, magical monsters, and abhorrent beasts. She’s big and strong, and is a decent grappler as well.

Weaknesses: Samaria presents a large target, and she’s not particularly nimble. She doesn’t have the greatest of reflexes. Her resistances against magic are decent, but not great.
