Map Set 50 Gold (Druid Library and Mountain Observatory)

Here's our newest map set with two new maps!

The first map is the Druid Library [30x40]:

Long ago, a circle of druids established the Verdant Archive, a sacred repository of nature's knowledge. Nestled deep within the heart of an ancient forest, this library was designed to preserve the secrets of the natural world and foster the growth of druidic wisdom.

The central circular area serves as a gathering space for lectures and discussions. The Great Pine above has witnessed centuries of druidic teachings. Its evergreen needles are believed to hold echoes of the ancient conversations held there.

The library areas are dedicated to different aspects of nature — flora, fauna, the elements, etc. Each section is adorned with intricate carvings and murals depicting the beauty of the natural world.

The storage area houses not only books but also rare herbs, enchanted artifacts, and seeds of extinct plants waiting to be resurrected. The Caretakers, a group of reclusive druids, are responsible for maintaining the archive and ensuring its sanctity.

The gardens surrounding the library are filled with unique flora, some of which are sentient and possess ancient memories. The mushroom patch, in particular, is a source of potent magical ingredients that herbalists from far and wide seek to harvest.

Potential Encounters:

• Caretaker's Dilemma. The caretakers seek the party's help in dealing with a disturbance in the library. Unbeknownst to them, a magical anomaly has caused certain books to gain sentience, and they now resist being organized. The party must restore order without causing harm.
• Floral Guardian. A flower in the garden has grown out of control, ensnaring anyone who approaches. The party must find a way to calm the restless spirit within the flower or risk it growing out of control.
• Intruders in the Archive. A group of thieves has discovered the location of the Verdant Archive and is attempting to steal its secrets. The party must thwart their plans, protecting its sacred knowledge.

The second map is the Mountain Observatory [40x42]:

In a remote corner of the towering mountains lies the Celestial Witness, an observatory of both astronomical significance and arcane mastery. For centuries, astronomers have gathered here to study the stars, celestial phenomena and the mystical energies that course through the cosmos.

Legends speak of a unique celestial alignment that occurs only once in a millennium, visible from this observatory. It is said that during this event, the fabric of reality is thin, allowing for unparalleled divination.

The observatory is believed to house ancient artifacts infused with celestial energy. These artifacts are said to reveal hidden truths about the cosmos and grant mystical powers.

The observatory is guarded by an order of celestial beings known as the Astral Wardens. These beings have sworn to protect the observatory from those who would seek to exploit its knowledge for nefarious purposes.

Potential Encounters:

• Aberrant Invasion. The party arrives at the observatory only to find it under attack by otherworldly creatures seeking to disrupt the upcoming celestial alignment. They must defend the observatory and discover the motives behind the assault.
• Test of the Guardian. To gain access to the observatory's ancient knowledge, the party must prove their worth to the Astral Wardens. This could involve solving puzzles, demonstrating magical prowess, or undertaking a quest.
• Celestial Anomaly. The celestial alignment triggers a magical anomaly, causing strange and powerful effects throughout the observatory. The earth may shift, gravity may fluctuate, and extraplanar creatures might be drawn into the fray.
