The first map is Creek Mill [40x60]:

Yon stands the old mill. Once nestled 'pon the river's edge, a thriving community thrived 'midst its verdant embrace. But now, naught remains but ruins and the indomitable mill, which stands strong amidst the ashes. Bridges, like whispered echoes of a bygone era, still span the convergence of streams, remnants of a time when life bloomed in vibrant hues.

Aye, in times of old, the village flourished under the watchful gaze of the wise druid Eirwen. 'Twas the mill, with its waterwheel majestic, that served as the pulsating heart of the folk. It harnessed the power of the babbling creek, bestowing sustenance upon the villagers, and breathing life into their labors.

Yet darkness cast its wicked pall. Eirwen, with valor unfaltering, waged a gallant battle but met her fate, selflessly sacrificing herself to safeguard her people. Upon her spirit's release, the village crumbled, homes succumbed to ruin, and once-bountiful crops withered away. Only the old mill, infused with the druid's lingering enchantment, remained unscathed, a beacon in the midst of desolation.

Lo, the waterwheel turns unaided, propelled by the ethereal essence of Eirwen. Travelers who venture near sense faint whispers, echoes of knowledge long forgotten and hidden powers yet untamed. Explorers delve amidst the ruins, encountering spectral apparitions, seeking treasures buried in the sands of time.

The creek, tainted by the encroaching darkness, holds the key to cleansing the land, and with it, the promise of restoring the village's former glory. For in the murmuring waters lies the secret, the means to banish the shadow and rekindle hope. Through valor and magic intertwined, the village of Alderia may yet awaken from its slumber, its past and future entwined, guided by the echoes of Eirwen's sacrifice.

Encounter Prompts:

• Shadows at the Mill. As the adventurers enter the mill, shadows coalesce and take form, animated by the lingering darkness. These creatures, attacking anybody who enters. The heroes must fend off the shadowy onslaught, using light and their battle acumen to banish the darkness that threatens to consume the mill.
• Eirwen's Whispers. The adventurers discover an ancient shrine dedicated to the fallen druid Eirwen. As they pay their respects Eirwen's spirit materializes, offering guidance and cryptic clues. They must prove their worthiness, completing tasks that demonstrate their commitment to protecting the land. In return, Eirwen imparts forgotten knowledge or bestows her blessings upon them.
• The Fading Memory. The adventurers stumble upon an elderly villager plagued by a fading memory. They must help the villager retrieve fragments of their memory scattered throughout the ruins.

The second map is Desert Oasis [35x46]:

Behold, these watery wonders present themselves as a spectacle of unparalleled grandeur amidst the desolate dunes of Azeron. Once, in a bygone era, this very site flourished as the vibrant nexus known as Zephyria, a bustling emporium where life, against all odds, found sustenance. Echoes of antiquity tell tales of a formidable enchanter by the name of Azar, who invoked the power of an almighty aqueous entity, thereby metamorphosing a crater into this serene sanctuary. Such an enchanting transformation beckoned traders, scholars, and adventurers alike, interweaving a vivacious tapestry of diverse cultures and intellectual enlightenment.

Nevertheless, hubris sowed the seeds of Zephyria's undoing. Bereft of care from its ruling elite, the spirit of the elemental grew restless, agitated by an insatiable longing. Unleashing a cataclysmic tempest of fury, it enveloped the city in layers of sand, sealing its fate. Left to languish in oblivion, Zephyria gradually slipped away from the annals of memory, its once-majestic edifices entombed by the unyielding march of time.

Today, only a few fragmented remnants stand testament to the faded glory of yore. The crystalline waters of the pond faithfully mirror the cloudless expanse above, serving as an oasis of serenity amidst the unforgiving embrace of the desert. Strewn haphazardly around this haven, the ruins of the ancient metropolis lay scattered, solemnly bearing witness to a forgotten epoch.

Adventurers of our time, driven by an insatiable thirst for wealth and glory, now congregate here, drawn by the allure of rumored treasures hidden beneath the shifting sands. With cautious steps, they navigate the remains, diligently seeking fragments of Zephyria's secrets, whose significance has long eluded mortal comprehension. Yet, as they tread upon this hallowed ground, they must remain ever vigilant, for the elemental spirits stand sentry over the oasis, their unwavering gaze forever watchful.

Encounter Prompts:

• The Elemental's Fury. As a sudden surge of elemental energy threatens to      unleash another cataclysmic storm upon the oasis, the adventurers are tasked with appeasing the restless water elemental. They must delve into the heart of Zephyria's ruins to find an artifact capable of pacifying the spirit before it wreaks havoc upon the surrounding lands.
• Echoes of Azar's Spellcraft. Legends speak of Azar's powerful sorcery and the arcane artifacts he left behind. The adventurers embark on a quest to unearth the lost spellbooks and magical relics, hidden within the ruins. But the knowledge they seek comes at a price, for the spirits of Azar's guardians jealously guard these arcane secrets.
• The Oasis Mirage. The adventurers find themselves caught in an illusionary mirage, where Zephyria thrives once more, untouched by time. They must navigate this dreamlike realm, filled with mirage creatures and deceptive visions, to break free from its grasp before it consumes them completely.
