To the north is a tribal village, wary of outsiders, who's shamans are thought to have knowledge of mystical concoctions formed from rare jungle herbs. They warn travelers to steer clear of the southern temple where evil spirits protect the rainforest by making blood sacrifices to curry favor with ancient jungle deities. Before braving the river, adventurers can restock at the outpost to the southwest, which has ample supplies and perhaps a guide if needed. They offer a hefty bounty for anybody returning with horned snake scales that are highly coveted among master leatherworkers.
