Not only is the heat radiating from the rivulets of lava overbearing, but creatures burning with a hatred of invaders patrol the blazing lands. Fire giants with their fire elemental companions take joy in throwing trespassers into lava, cheering with glee as gouts of flames burst from their melting victims. They throw super-heated boulders at those unwilling to close distance. It is rumored an Iron Golem wanders the area, still following the mysterious orders of it's long dead master. The locals have learned to leave it alone but perhaps clever adventurers could use it to their advantage or become targets of its ire.
