When the sea levels rose the entire temple was engulfed and most of the congregation left for calmer waters, but a few of the most devout followers remained. They magically sealed the doors and reinforced its walls to protect the religious texts within, committed to continue their divine purpose.
Parts of the temple have fallen to disrepair and abandoned. Rumors abound that an ancient entity has taken up residence nearby. With dark intent it slowly chips away at the resilience of those that remain.
