News and So On

Good afternoon!  Happy July!  Etc!

Some things and goings on around here:

1. The industry here, and probably everywhere, is in a bit of a slump.  The cost of living in Australia is skyrocketing, mortgage costs are about to hit a steep increase in payments, the studios from which I draw my clients are all suffering as discretionary spending is cut way, way back.  

And as a result, I'm suffering too.  Paid shoots are at an all time low.  Even the clothing labels are cutting back.  I ran a half price special a while back and had the worst response of any promotion I've ever done.  People are just broke and a bit worried about the future, I think.  

So that's why I haven't had any new stuff.  The shoots I do get are canceled.  I had a pair of performers booked this week, PURE stuff: canceled.  Another PURE shoot for last week: canceled due to injury.  And two the week before that.  

And now, Patreon wants me to send my government ID to allow me to keep shooting nude models.  Like MY age has anything to do with anything?  And that's worth the risk of sending photos of my ID to a third party company who swears for reals they won't keep a copy or let anyone hack it?  

I'm not thrilled about it.  So I probably won't do it.

Which means that I am probably going to be forced to switch to Deviant Art as my subscription service.  I quite like their setup, and their fees, and they don't want to risk my personal identity security for no good reason.

What this means for you:

1. I'm very aware that you haven't had anything worth paying for, for a long time.  I'm going to make it up to you as best I can: everyone who's a subscriber now will get access to that tier of stuff for the rest of the year.  You must message me here, so that I can set you up on my website.

2. I'd love for you to subscribe to me on Deviant Art.  I already have a big gallery for one-time prices, and the monthly tiers will be coming this month.  

3. I've got some great bodies booked for a new silhouette & PURE project, for the next couple of weeks.  If even half of them actually show up, I'll have a ton of good stuff to show off.  So, even if you only stick around for the rest of the month, it should still be good.  🤞
