Hello everyone!

It's been a hot minute since I wrote a devblog. I think we're overdue!

Version 1.3

With each new version, you can always expect more content, whether that be costumes, scenes, or both, and I made sure to include plenty of both in the version 1.3 update! Aside from that however, I'm always trying to add new features, improvements and functionality to Gravure Studio. Let's talk about them.

Live Undress

Thanks to community help, I managed to find the mesh "visible" toggle that's used in scenes. I wanted this for a long time! This allows me to change mesh states mid scene. For our purposes this means undressing the girls in real time. Right now I've implemented this in 3 new scenes.

F10 + M

This is a fun little Halloween themed pose reel that attempts to mimic the malfunction gust from DOAXVV.

F10 + Z and X

In both of these scenes, the girl featured removes her bra/top. One is a POV scene and the other is for the purposes of tanning.

Animated Scene Objects

This was a long time coming. Rather than get into the details of the hacky method this was implemented, I will simply say that it's finally in Gravure Studio! There's 5 scenes that have animated objects now.

Innertube (F9+C, F9+V)

Hula Hoop (F9+ B)

Volleyball (F9+N)

Maracas (F9+M)

In particular, the Maracas scene really is something! Really activates your neurons with Soft Engine enabled!

Onsen Stage

For stage imports, I've been relying on others until this point. There's still some witchcraft that I don't quite understand and tool limitations that make it difficult for me to properly add things like lightmaps and such, but the Onsen stage is my first actual new stage import! Repinscourge and PinkBBS were to thank for the previous stage imports. I want to develop my knowledge of how to work with stage objects to improve existing stages and add new ones, but for now I think the Onsen stage turned out quite well! I'm looking forward to adding new scenes for it.

Questions and Feedback

Just as a general poll, I'd like to get a feel for my audience and how they feel about Gravure Studio. So please, if you get the chance answer the following questions:

• Who is/are your favorite girls?
• What girl from VV do you want to see most in the future?
• How do you feel about swimsuit malfunctions vs. just straight up topless?
• For clothing, do you like clothes tight enough to create a lip around the clothing, tight enough to squeeze breasts together, or just fully 100% loose and just resting on their body? This is kind of a complicated question I know.
• What type of scenes and stages do you like most in general?
• What type of costumes are you most interested in seeing more of? Lingerie, swimsuits, underwear, casual clothing, gimmicky clothing etc.?
• Do you look forward to Gravure Studio updates, or media related to Gravure Studio like music videos most? 
• Anything else you feel like adding!

Future Updates

There's lots of things I want to do, but I need to find a way to do them. Obviously new scenes and costumes are always a given, but on the subject of "goals" here are a handful of things I want to figure out urgently:

• Better soft engine implementation that doesn't require a bunch of bullshit with Cheat Engine, and is easier to use for the casual user.
• Learn how to add lightmaps to stage objects, and learn how to directly modify occluders and change more sophisticated object parameters that TMC Object tool doesn't let me modify.
• Learn how to set loop points for animation data and camera data so that poses don't have to be seen in a "reel" format.
• Learn how to add sounds to the DOA5 sound databases, this is important for like, Maracas and stuff.
• Learn more movie configuration parameters so I can add, position and time effects like splashes, footsteps dispersing sand, etc.
• Implement a solution that allows both tan and wet that can be configured with a UI
• Implement texture swap "detail" in the movie UI.
• Implement a UI for movie PP selection so that an indefinite amount of scenes can be selected without key combinations.
• Modify animated stage objects to have more bones, normal maps and specular maps.
• Uncap filesize for costumes, or at the very least drastically raise it.

Most of these things I don't have the skillset to do myself, and I need to find someone who can help me. I'm definitely glad I didn't formally announce something earlier because it unfortunately didn't pan out with the person I was talking to! Even if you're not sure if you can help me, I'd still appreciate anyone who thinks they can reaching out. These things are very important to me and will add a whole new dynamic to Gravure Studio.
