For the fight at the end they wanted it to be in the rain, but didn't have the funds for a rain machine. But as they were filming, a real rainstorm rolled in.

2025-05-08 17:40:34 +0000 UTCEliza Dushku's acting and character work become even more impressive when you know she was 17 when she first played the role of Faith in season 3 and had to get a court emancipation order to be onset past the mandated hours for child actors. Also raised Mormon, and as far as I know she was still a practicing member of the Latter Day Saints when she was playing the role of Faith. Hella acting chops for someone so young playing such a dark and challenging role.

2025-05-08 10:00:17 +0000 UTCSadly, Faith's history is never delved into on the show(s). However, there was a book (Go Ask Malice), that's like a diary of hers through her childhood. Without going into a lot of detail, it does tell us about her mom's drug use, and her going into the system. Also her dealing with physical and SA as a child. The latter is mostly implied. It's been nearly 2 decades since I read it, so I can't remember for sure. Faith likely has C-PTSD, and her behavior is a result of that trauma. Not an excuse, but it explains a lot. Slayers should really have specialized, free, therapy.
