2025-12-25 02:54:14 +0000 UTCAbsolutely ICONIC episode. Maybe the series best. Loved watching this with you! I haven’t taken the time yet to check on polls and stuff, but I hope you do watch Firefly! It’s so quick (sadly, actually) and so, so good. So many of the Whedon elements that you see in Buffy are visible in it—the quips and jump cuts especially. It also has a couple episodes that are straight-up horror.

So another supernatural show that I'd love to see you watch is *The Originals* but unfortunately, it's a spin-off of *The Vampire Diaries* so you would've had to seen a couple seasons of that to understand fully what was going on. I know you prolly can never do it, but I would love to hear your thoughts on the Friday the 13th tv series. It is terrible but in a way, I think you would have loads of fun with. Unfortunately, it wouldn't get views, lol.

I love watching a Fear Itself & Hush double feature every Halloween, it's always felt like a bonus Halloween ep cos it's creepy AF. The Gentleman def are one of my favorite villains of the week of the whole series. The bts making of this ep is really cool too. I'm not sure if you'd remember her from here cos it wasn't a huge role but Amber Benson (Tara) was also in Can't Hardly Wait with Seth Green!

Dark fairytale type series, great characters. Also I really want someone to react to the original Twilight Zone (60s episodes), also the original V the series and V the Final Battle are totally worth a watch as well.

If I'm trying to convince someone to watch Buffy this is usually the episode I'll use as an introduction example. The two main Gentleman are played by the wonderful creature actor, Camden Toy (RIP, what a huge loss to the industry his passing was), and the legendary Doug Jones (Shape of Water, The Silver Surfer, What We Do In The Shadows, Hocus Pocus, HellBoy, Pan's Labyrinth, The Bye Bye Man, The Strain, Crimson Peak, etc etc).

2025-04-05 06:28:39 +0000 UTCA lesser known horror series I loved that is a bit underrated is "Wolf" from 2023. I recommend it. Thw guy that plays Ramsay in GOT Iwan Rheon, had a major role and he is killing it. I like the atmosphere and mystery and the heavy emotional drama.

The thoughts that are in our heads that we are unable to express. The episode then becomes a demonstration of that just as Walsh was saying. During the time that they are able to talk at the beginning none is communicating because they are lying (Buffy and Riley), ignorant (the Wicca group), scared (Tara), immature and insecure (Anya and Xander), obnoxious and confrontational (Spike). The last words spoken before they are silenced are by Olivia dismissing the use of words as a communication tool. Once they can’t talk anymore, after a understandable moment of confusion they are able to work together to overcome the main obstacle and discover fundamental truths about each other. This is one of the best and most acclaimed episode of the show for good reasons. Written and directed by Joss obviously..

Second fave show after Buffy. 90s nostalgia and spooky sci-fi/horror vibes :) Regarding the effects of the Gentlemen: I hope I’m remembering correctly. If they were filmed above torso, they were wheeled around. If it was a full body shot, they were on wires and the editor had to manually edit out the wires frame by frame. Someone correct me if I’m wrong!

2025-04-05 03:59:31 +0000 UTCOther shows that’d be cool to see - Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, True Blood (s1-5 are good, u can skip s6&7), Spartacus (Blood & Sand, Gods of the Arena & Vengeance are so good; you could skip War of the Damned)… I’m not sure what you’ve seen or not but Supernatural is pretty fun..I’ve only seen the first five seasons or so.. and there’s 15 I think so that’s a lot, but I’d definitely watch bc I do want to see how the series plays out after that many seasons. Also Black Mirror, Slasher & Stranger Things
