Angel 1x10 | Parting Gifts

Comments
I never see anyone react to Sleepy Hollow (the series, not any of the films) and it had some quality creepy moments for a Fox show. Also Grimm feels like it could live in a Buffy adjacent space. I never see anyone react to Penny Dreadful either. Outside of creature-featurey stuff, my will-always-recc shows are: Deadwood, Sons of Anarchy, Black Sails, Peaky Blinders, Ripper Street, Vikings... I'm sure you may have seen some of those, but any you haven't, I'd be in for.

Chance's House Of Horror
2025-04-05 22:22:10 +0000 UTCIt's science fiction not horror but if you haven't seen the rebooted Battlestar Galactica it's fairly epic and a fantastic cast. The show that I watched to fill a Buffy shaped hole was Being Human (the UK version ) it's really good . Also Misfits not sure if it has a reaction audience but it's worth watching anyways and has a few familiar cast members .

2025-04-05 21:49:50 +0000 UTCI'd be down to watch Severance, Veronica Mars, Battlestar Galactica, The Good Place, The Last Man on Earth, Carnivale, Lost, Dead like me, Spaced, Ideal, or Taskmaster. Loving your Buffyverse reactions!

2025-04-05 16:01:57 +0000 UTCDollhouse is great, and short! Starring Eliza Dushku. It's like proto-Severance. Have you seen Severance?

2025-04-05 16:00:09 +0000 UTCLucy Lawless? I think I remember hearing about her in a show like that. I haven't seen it though!

2025-04-05 15:38:58 +0000 UTCi use to wake up at 6 a.m. every morning and watch ANGEL on tnt lol ever seen SALEM Chance? its criminally underrated cuz the network it aired on was not super well known or watched.. the acting was so so so so good and the visuals, makeup and special effects were like movie level awesome and so creepy looking..i miss it..it aired for 3 seasons but so much happens... it had that chick in it also XENA warrior princess from ash vs evil dead..Salem took the real witch trials, all the names of the characters were real people, but its from the perspective/context that witches exist. One of the best horror shows of all time period. I hope u react to it one day.. just the first 2 episodes will likely have u hooked.. i clicked on it one day on netflix..my mind was blown..shane west stars in it too

2025-04-05 15:09:21 +0000 UTCI've seen all of Dexter but 24 and True Blood are shows I always wanted to see.

2025-04-05 14:12:24 +0000 UTCI suppose other than another Whedon series you could do the Charmed, it's different-ish but just as good. Little less humor, bit more drama. Outside of the monsteroftheweek verse. "24" "Dexter" or "True Blood"

2025-04-05 08:58:28 +0000 UTCOkay now that you know the situation. When Doyle was killed off, fans at the time were told that had been the plan from the start; to bring a series regular onto the show and then kill them off early in a shock twist. This wasn't actually true, and it came out years later that the producers had basically made up that story to protect Glenn Quinn's privacy and out of respect. I'll see if I can find the interview panel where they discuss it more in depth, but essentially Glenn's addictions were effecting his work to the point that it really couldn't be ignored or glossed over. Apparently right from about episode 2 he was messing up badly on set (turning up late, not knowing his lines properly, turning up obviously high, and so on). They gave him several chances to clean up his act, but he couldn't so they really had no choice but to let him go. Considering how close him and David Boreanaz were as friends as well I can imagine firing Glenn wasn't exactly a fun decision to have to make. His whole story is just incredibly sad, especially considering that deep down it sounded like he was a really good guy. He died of a heroin overdose on December 3 2002.

2025-04-05 08:41:46 +0000 UTCOut of the shows other people have already mentioned, I can vouch for Lost, Chuck, Dollhouse, Firefly, and Person of Interest.

2025-04-05 05:52:15 +0000 UTCI confess I am her for the Buffyverse. There are not a lot of shows that I enjoy watching over and over again watching reactors first time. But I would stay for Fringe. Itβs such a good show. Or Person of Interest. Obviously Firefly is a must!

2025-04-05 04:26:58 +0000 UTCI haven't seen Lost but I've seen Supernatural! I have seen New Girl but not Chuck or Dollhouse.
Chance's House Of Horror
2025-04-05 03:12:45 +0000 UTCFringe is good but gets a little hard to keep up at the end kind of like Lost. I think youve already seen Supernatural but if not thats an obvious awesome choice. You could stick with Wheddon and do Firefly/Serenity or Dollhouse. Two comedies New Girl and Chuck would be great watches too. I love those shows and am fixen to rewatch the soon myself. Would be really cool to watch one of those with you!

2025-04-05 02:49:35 +0000 UTCFunny enough Fringe is exactly what I was thinking lol.
Chance's House Of Horror
2025-04-05 02:49:27 +0000 UTCIβll definitely stick around after Buffy and Angel are done, I enjoy your reactions a lot ππ but if you want some actual suggestions, Fringe is my second favorite show after Buffy, itβs 5 seasons (well, 4 and a half, the final season was a half season), and the OA is absolutely fantastic if youβve not seen it.. it was cancelled after the second season and ends on a massive cliffhanger (theyβd planned out 5 seasons from the start) but still worth watching because the two seasons that were made were amazing work

2025-04-05 02:38:40 +0000 UTCPhysical comedy is a lot harder to pull off than it looks. Alexis Denisof hits the mark every time β€
