If you love Spike you're going to love him in s4 of Buffy- imo it's his character at his most entertaining...

Spoiler-bait as they sometimes are. Nothing notable about Brachens...spikey, increased speed stamina strength. So basically human with spikes and a power boost.

The dialog, visuals and musical cues let us know when this is supposed to be the case. Maybe it's my imagination but it feels like the jarring transitions between scenes are meant to convey the chaos Doyle experiences when having his visions - even though they're mostly just quick-cuts of earlier events.

2025-03-12 13:51:43 +0000 UTCAngel season 1 (and Buffy season 4) aired in 1999-2000. At the time, I believe Johnny Depp had a reputation for trashing everywhere he went, hence Cordelia's comment when she found Spike trashing Angel's place.

2025-03-12 12:06:08 +0000 UTCNot the Pepsi commercial π YOU WRONG FOR THAT lmaooo. And yeah Angel was on at 9:00 pm so they were allowed to do and show a lot more. Angel is definitely the more adult show of the two - at least right now. But Angel is much darker/gritty because of LA but also the obvious Batman/Gotham parallels and deals with tough themes in a more direct way than Buffy does. WHENEVER THERE WAS A CROSSOVER IT WAS LIKE AN AVENGERS LEVEL EVENT. The fandom was so hype. Joss was involved with both shows. The Buffyverse isn't perfect (though damn near imo) but continuity isn't too much of an issue, it's usually pretty good where that is concerned, same with call backs. Even if you've forgotten about something, the show has not, even if it's been seasons lol.
