Double Column Exercise (FREE)

Here's an exercise you can do on you or your partner's legs that will help develop your familiarity and creative freedom with the double column tie and it's many variations. Try switching between single wraps and double wraps, changing directions, etc. You can also connect rope to prolong the exercise. 

This exercise helps refine the following skills learned from previous videos:

- Tying Off with the Bight 

If you're practicing on the legs, be sure to either avoid the knees entirely or just make sure that your tension is gentle (not so gentle that the tie simply falls off, but the knees are not safe to tie tightly on). Focus instead on the lower legs and thighs. 

You can also practice your tie-offs as well. Try tying off on the bight, using a quick release, tying a bow, or simply tuck the knots between the wraps. Decision making is an important skill to develop as well, so enjoy the process!
