Happy new year everyone!

As one would expect the holiday festivities did get kinda crazy trying to catch up on some animating, thus its been slow going with the festive revelries.

That said though, I have been exploring some new tricks with the animation process by 'blocking' out shots with rough outlines of the characters, this gives me the flexibility to get a little messy and play around with the lines in a way that would make them feel more natural when I clean it up for viewing, this will require another pass at cleaning up the lines but I'm keen to see if this has a healthy payoff for the final product. I'll let this develop some more before I can put together a preview reel for you all to check out at some point to better illustrate what I mean by this.

I also got more involved playing around with the digital watercolor brush, having done sketches and drafts of various characters, I wanted to see how I can manipulate that tool a bit. It'll take some getting used to but it can yield some visually pleasing results. If any of you have interesting suggestions for brush sets or just refined settings for the watercolor tools used in krita for instance I'm all ears in checking them out.
