i remember reading somewhere back when this season was airing that Mayor Richard Wilkins III was "inspired" by a pop culture interviewer in Australia (called Richard Wilkins) that had been awful to Joss in an interview about Alien Resurrection. He has a very similar "overt" niceness but is kinda creepy.

This was the first season I watched in real-time as it was airing, and this episode rocked my little adolescent world on so many levels. The only person I was able to talk about it with was my mom--no one my age (that I knew at least) was watching it--so I totally empathize with the desire to talk about it with someone. (I at least had my mom, and you have us!)

lol I loved your reactions to Wesley, Balthazar & Buffy&Faith getting arrested! I always want to defend Faith because she's the underdog, she's fun, exciting, entertaining... but she was definitely way too reckless & impulsive. You'd think her instincts would've been better than to end up accidentally stabbing Finch but Faith really is a conflicted character (which I love) & the complete opposite of Kendra who was all about following the rules & look where that got her (hypnotized & killed by Dru). Faith (& Buffy for that matter) show us what can happen when you make your own rules.
