I already painted Mortarion in 2018. You can find posts on my Patreon about this model. Back then, I wasn't thinking about light, I was focusing on colors and 'patterns'. I would like to improve my painting, so this time I focused on light and cast shadows. This model has a lot of elements that give a lot of shadows and cast shadows. Therefore, the colors of the model are more subdued compared to my earlier works. Using many colors and painting cast shadows on them would be too much. That's why this version of Mortarion is dominated by cold colors.
