Creating the Ball Base

Hello everyone;)

Last days I was building a new base for Archaon Everchosen. The customer wished that the Archaon supposed to stay on a something like a sphere, ball or egg. He offered one scene from one of the manga series. I was inspired by these pictures.

At the beginning of the photos you can see how I built the wooden ball. I used for it soft lime wood and milliput. As you can see, I started to paint this ball green inside and it is surrounded by blue-violet cover. However, the customer didn't like this base, so I decided to use it for another miniature.

At the latest photos you can see the base with "Lord Miniature Gluttony" from Limbo:Eternal War. I have changed the base a little bit. The Lord Gluttony holds dead bodies in his hands. I figured that he could throw these bodies inside the ball (gateway to the underworld). So I added some skeleton bodies and monster teeth there. I made up this story because it will be easier for me to paint this character now ;).

I'm going to build new base for Archaon. So I will share with you how I paint Archaon and Gluttony soon ;)
