regarding ur point abt her earlier shows like elegant private life and sixteen, it's true she was more talkative and blunt, but that's just her playful side. she's still shown that playful side in recent twice content, but context matters! in this 1:1 date scenario with nayeon, they're both introverts who haven't done this before, so it's natural for them to feel awkward and take time to warm up. in contrast, when she's surrounded by her members in earlier shows, she feels more at ease and can show her playful side. it's unfair to compare these different situations. moreover, her members even tease her about her speaking style, mimicking her pauses, because they know it's just part of who she is! jus my two cents abt the whole idea! if u read until here, thank u for coming to my tedtalk :)

2024-05-17 16:38:21 +0000 UTCngl, while it's a sensitive/taboo topic in the Twice community, it would be narrow-minded/parochial to completely dismiss that incident and say that it didn't hit her in any way. however, we also must consider the context of this situation. while it's understandable and fair for u to have drawn that conclusion, i wouldn't say that's the sole reason for Tzuyu's long pauses when speaking. given it's been eight years and we've seen her growth and comfort in numerous Twice contents, albeit still reserved, it's clear she's moved forward. In this case, it really might not be that deep; her pauses could simply be a natural part of her personality, where she takes her time to gather her thoughts before speaking. moreover, Tzuyu's communication style has always been characterized by thoughtful pauses, even in casual conversations with her members. it's just her natural pace, and we shouldn't overthink it!

2024-03-03 19:00:14 +0000 UTCOne of the reasons Tzuyu takes time to answer is because of what happened a few years back with the Taiwanese flag incident. I think you've already noticed as well going back thru TWICE's journey from Sixteen, Elegant Private Life and the earlier Twice TV's, Tzuyu is more talkative and blunt during those shows.... but after the flag incident *late 2016* , she became much more careful in what she says and that where you catch her thinking before saying anything. That really hit her hard i think.

I love this series because it really just is a series about how much Twice loves each other, even after all this time—especially their baby maknae 😭🫶 Also I think Tzuyu speaking slowly and taking the time to think before answering isn’t necessarily because she’s still translating? I’ve only ever spoken English my whole life but when I get asked a question there are always a few seconds of silence where I’m really thinking about how to answer, instead of just saying whatever comes to mind first, so I relate to Tzuyu a lot on that front

2024-03-02 06:32:57 +0000 UTCthe 1on1 dates definitely increased after this series (like we see a lot of DaTzu, JeongHyo, NaMo & SaMo) but I still feel like whenever they’re seen out in public it’s always at least 3 lol like NaMoSaTzu have been spotted a few times eating hot pot together, and JeongJiTzu just went on vacation together

Seeing Tzuyu smile whenever she receives affection always makes my day better. She will always be their precious maknae. They did see her grow up from: teenager to now, so it makes sense.
