A BIG Job - Chapter 16

Chapter 16

Ron did it, he stood up and went straight to confront Miranda. Why her? Well… he’s suspicious she’s up to something.

Putting everyone in a balance, he found out Miranda’s the one who hates him the most. Well, it was as to who’s the one who’ll do something dab to him. Mrs. Caswell is the boss, she’s a professional who wouldn’t do this. Angela’s far too distant, and too much of a pretty lady to do such a thing to him. And Gertrude’s the nicest person he knows, there’s just no way it was her.

Sure, these all were reasons that didn’t mean a lot, but to him they were a clear answer that disqualified them as suspects. However, Miranda… it’s clear to him that she doesn’t like him, she avoids talking to him, maybe she even wants him fired! So, she’s the one who’s messing with him.

Was she putting something in his food? Spreading some sort of strange liquid on his keyboard? She was poisoning him! With a non-lethal chemical, for sure, but bad enough to hurt him.

Ron stood right in front of her desk, she was up to something, he was certain!

He looked at her, she was working on her desk, looking straight at her screen and her fingers flying over the keyboard. Programming? Writing something? He didn’t care! He can tell she’s ignoring him, the reason? Well, he knows she knows he knows.

Miranda’s a smart lady, her plan had been working so well, until now. Yes, he figured it out, she hates him and wants him to be fired. Well, joke’s on her because now he knows! He found out that all that has been happening to him is not a casualty, not an allergic reaction to something, not a coincidence, this is all a threat of hers!

“I know…” He said, looking at her as she ignored him and pretended he was still unaware of her plan.

“Know what? Listen, I’m busy right now…” Miranda said, eyes locked on her screen.

“I know what you’re doing! This… all of… would you look at me when I’m talking to you!” Miranda was focused on her work, whatever nonsense he was talking about, she was not interested. But he was going to make her.

“No, like I said, I’m busy. I have no time for games or whatever you’re trying to do here.” Miranda knows he doesn’t do a thing here at the office, the only thing that’s important is his presence, that’s all. The things he does, she can do them in the blink of an eye. Miranda knows she can do more in one hour than him in a week!

Right now, she’s got no time to waste, she’s working on a very special project her boss assigned her, she has no time to lose with him.

“Games? You think this is a game! Well, I’m pretty sure you think so. Listen, I know you’re messing with me. I know you’re… doing something to my food… or my drinks. I haven’t figured out what exactly, but I know you’re the reason why I’m falling asleep all day at my apartment.” He said.

“That could be because of a poor diet, you know? Have you been eating well? I don’t think your diet’s balanced.” She heard it, she can tell he’s trying to get an answer for his “condition”.

Miranda was a smart woman, she immediately opened her message app and sent the boss a message. “Ron’s got too much questions. Come ASAP!” She was hoping the boss would read this soon. Until then, she’ll try to deny anything he says that’s close to the truth.

She’ll deceive him from any answer he might come up with. She’ll try to confuse him, to make him think he’s the problem. He cannot find out about this, he cannot put a finger on the reason why this is happening to him. And most importantly, he cannot find out they were all the reason for his shrinking.

But she’s certain he has no idea he’s shrinking, he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed.

Ron made a quick pause, was she really blaming him for not having a good diet?

Well, that’s not far from the truth, he skips meals because he’s sleeping all of the time. He didn’t have time to have breakfast, he barely had a chance to fix something for lunch. Diner? Well, if he’s lucky he’ll find some takeout at home once he’s back.

His life is not good, he hasn’t even been able to enjoy his free time because he’s sleeping through it. Not able to enjoy of the sweet money he’s receiving because he’s too tired to do anything.

And now, she’s not even caring at all about him! Let’s face it, anyone would show the lightest interest to him, if she was not happy about his suffering the least she could do would be to show some empathy. Or at least fake some. This was not helping her at all, and he was far too mad to let it slide.

“It’s not the damn food!” He screamed.

Miranda was getting upset, she tightened her lips as she was losing focus from her screen. She tried to ignore him, but not too much, she couldn’t let him know. However, paying attention to him was distracting her from her work. And this was a lot more important than him.

“Are you sure? Food’s the fuel of the brain…” she added, eyes locked on her screen as she was trying to see if her boss had seen her message. She even called her from the same app and then hung up. Dialed again and hung up. Trying to be noticed without Ron seeing what she was doing.

Ron could tell she was not paying any attention to him and that she was just saying whatever to keep him at bay. “Cut the crap! I know it’s you! You… you’re messing with me! You’re trying t fuck me up so that I get fired!” His face turned red this time.

“Why would I?” She was getting upset, and she let out some of the true thoughts she had. “You’ll ruin yourself anyways. I have no need to help you with that.” A little tease, she knows he won’t get fired. The things he’s done so far, the sex at the lunch room was enough to make anyone kick his ass out, but not him. He was a valuable employee, but not in a good way.

Ron frowned, he clenched his hands and tightened his teeth. She’s talking shit about him, she’s doesn’t care at all, and what’s worse, she’s acting as if he wasn’t there! She’s barely looking at him when he talks to her!

This all because of her damn screen, he knows. Whatever she’s working on seems to be more important than him. What could be more important than a co-worker in pain? Well, she’s the cause of the pain so, it’s obvious she wants him to suffer!

Well, two can play this game…

He looked at the screen, rapidly searched for the cable, and then he unplugged it.

Miranda was focused on it, she was writing a new message to Mrs. Caswell, and suddenly her screen was shut down. She was confused, at first, and then she realized what had happened, as soon as she saw the cable in his hand.

“What are you doing? Plug it back on!” She demanded.

“Why would I? You’re not listening to me! I have a problem, YOU!” He said, throwing a challenging look at her.

“No, the only problem here it’s you! Now plug it in!” She demanded.

“Not until you admit you’re trying to sabotage me and make me lose my job!” He said.

“No way. You think I’m doing this to you? I don’t give a shit about you! Why would I bother? Now give me the damn cable!” She admitted.

Ron looked at the cable, then back at her. “Bullshit! I know it’s you! Admit it!” He demanded.

Miranda was tired, she was not in the mood for games, and his false accusations were so frustrating. She breathed in and then out, she was trying to be patient, she was trying to calm down. And then he spoke.

“You’re probably jealous because no one likes you. You’re at your desk all the time, working all day. I bet you hate to see me get along with everyone.” Where did that come from? He’s not the popular guy in the office, however, he’s in the mood to piss her off, so he’ll say whatever he thinks will sting the most.

Miranda looked at him, she was confused, and at the same time tired of him. She’s not “unpopular”, she just works a lot, a healthy amount, not a vicious one. She was just so upset about his dumb comment, incorrect by the way, she had it with him.

If he was not going to give her the cable, she was going to get it herself!

Soon, she stood up, with an angry look on her face. Ron knew this was going to happen, he was ready to back off for whenever she tried to reach for the cable, but he was taken by surprise when she was standing at her full height.

He knew Miranda was not tall, when they first met he thought she was around 5’5” or something. The truth is that she started at 5’4”, and then she’s made her way up to her current height. 5’10”.

Ron saw her rising, and rising, and when she didn’t stop below his eye-level, he felt confused. Intimidated even. She seemed different, not just taller, but somehow wider. Her shoulders, her chest, he was sure she seemed thicker, kind of sexy, but it’s not that sexy when the angry lady seems to be taller than him.

“Give me that!” She said as she ripped the cable off his hand and plugged it in herself.

He was confused. She’s not close to his height, she seems taller than him! But why? How? Was she standing in something? Was she wearing heels? That couldn’t be. She didn’t seem to be standing above anything, she was bigger!

“How… why are you so tall?” He asked.

Miranda connected the cable, and as soon as she heard him she thought, “shit”.

What was she going to tell him? How was she going to make him think this is just his imagination? Well, that’s easy. He can’t see her feet from where he is, there’s no way he could even see them when he’s back at his desk. So she’ll lie.

“Heels! Now get away from my desk! You’ll ruin my work. Don’t make me report this to the boss.” An easy answer and a threat. Whatever gets him back on his seat with enough answers to be satisfied.

She messed up, there was no way he could tell she was taller if he didn’t see her standing. Right now she was an inch taller than him, which she loved, but it was not the most convenient thing to do at the moment. He wants answers, anything will make him paranoid.

Ron was trying to put the pieces together, he’s been feeling odd, smaller, and now Miranda seems taller? He wanted to look at her feet and make sure if she was wearing heels, if she was telling the truth. But he didn’t have a chance.

Before he could even try, a door was open. They both turned at it. Ron was worried so he felt this as a possible threat coming his way. Meanwhile, Miranda thought that Mrs. Caswell was finally coming to fix this. She was better at persuading people than she was.

To the surprise of both, this was Gertrude. And she came to ruin this a little…

Miranda was unamazed, at first, and then she realized this would make things worse! He’s paranoid of her being taller, Gertrude’s even taller!!!

Miranda turned at Ron, his eyes were wide open, he was shocked! She could see as he was trying to size her up. He turned at her feet and could see she was wearing no heels, and still, she was almost as tall as the door! Gertrude was HUGE! At 6’4”, there’s no way to deny she’s a monumental woman. A woman who was not this size before…

Gerturde looked at them, she smiled, but the smile faded rapidly as she realized they were both looking at her with worry in her eyes. Did she do something?

Soon she realized what was going on. Ron was standing right in front of Miranda. Right in front of a woman who shouldn’t be as tall as she currently was! And to make things worse, Gertrude did the same thing. She knew her height was too much to disguise, what was she going to say now? There’s no escape from this.

Soon, Ron walked closer to Gertrude, she was colossal! Looking gorgeous as ever, but her cheering height made her seem much more imposing and somehow alluring. The closer he walked towards her, the more impressed he was.

Wasn’t she shorter? Wasn’t she chubbier? Those were the dormant memories that have existed in his mind, some he didn’t think of recalling, until now. Gertrude was a short lady, maybe around Miranda’s height, what should be her height. Things are clear now, how could he be so blind?

Gertrude didn’t move, she just froze in her place as he came her way. She turned to Miranda, in the hopes that she’ll have a plan or something. Ron was getting awfully close and it seems this time there’s no chance of fooling him.

Miranda noticed the look on Gertrude’s face, her eyes were screaming for help. She knew she wanted her to help, but she had no plan. Her only hope was that Mrs. Caswell would come to the rescue, but as Miranda checked, her message hadn't been received yet. So, she just turned back at Gertrude and shrugged.

As Ron stood at a couple of feet away from Gertrude, he was struck by her size.

Ron swallowed as he met this massive Gertrude. Standing at 6’4”, she was a full head taller than him, and much thicker. No longer the chubby lady she was, she was thick in a sexy way now. Plus-sized? Maybe that was the right word. With legs as thick as tree-trunks, hips so wide he can’t even hold them properly, a thin waist that still keeps some softness from her prior self. And most importantly, some gigantic breasts that are right at his eye-level. They surely seemed bigger than his head.

Gertrude tried to look away, trying not to move as if he wouldn’t notice her, as if she would escape his eyes or words. But Ron was looking at her with attention. No longer mad, he seems confused, and trying to put all of the pieces together.

“How… Why are you so much bigger too?” He asked.

Things just didn’t make any sense,  both of them are statuesque! Gertrude seems even taller than Mrs. Caswell was! And now he wonders, is the boss even taller than she was? Well, she must be! And thinking about it, Angela was also taller! Everyone at the office was taller! How come he didn’t notice before?

Gertrude didn’t seem to be able to reply, she didn’t even want to look him in the eyes. This was not good, he had a bad feeling about this! Could their height be linked to his tiredness? Were they somehow stealing his energy to grow taller? He was right on that.

“What have you done!” Ron yelled, this time he was talking to both, blaming both of them. And if there was anyone else here, he’d blame them too.

“Ron, sweetheart, please, let’s calm down.” Gertrude begged.

“Calm down? You’ve lied to me! I… I was sincere with you and… you just betrayed me!” He said to Gertrude, his lip quivering as his heart ached. The only one he thought he could trust, it seems there’s no one to trust here.

Gertrude covered her mouth in regret, she couldn’t deny his words stung her heart. She didn’t want to do this to him, but in the end, she did.

“Listen, let’s just calm down, ok? I’m pretty sure this is now what you think it is.” Said Miranda as she approached.

“Then what is it? Because two grown women can’t just grow just because! And… and what about me? Why haven’t I grown? Or… no way! Am I shorter? Is that… is that the reason why my pants feel baggy? What have you done to me!!!” He noticed, he was so close to the truth.

Both ladies looked at each other, trying to see if the other had a plan or a way to solve this. But they had none.

This was it, this was the day when all of their plan turns to trash as he has now become aware of it. Maybe they should’ve kept him in a separate room as Miranda suggested, but no one ever listens to her. Now he knows, he’s still trying to put this puzzle together, but he’s way too close.

Should they confess? Gertrude thought. Should they hit him on the head and try to convince him this was all a dream? Miranda was looking for something hard to hit him with.

They were in a predicament. They had no answers for this. Still, they already knew this time would come. Now, the question is, what will they do about it? What will they do with him?

“You… you have five seconds to give me an answer! Or… or… I’m calling the authorities! Yes! They will investigate you and… and find out what sort of thing you’re doing here!” He threatened, loud and clear. Their hearts skipped a beat as he reached for his phone.

But before things got any worse, someone else came in. Mrs. Caswell.

“Sorry, dear, but you can’t call anyone.” She said, all of them turned at the door, his jaw dropped as he saw the 6´8” amazon ducking to make it past the door, with hips so meaty and breasts so large and bouncy. “I’ll tell you what’s going on, then you’ll decide what to do.”

Was this problem solved? Why can’t anyone feel that?
