HP ZBook Ultra G1a, Strix Halo, Future AMD Halos (Die Shrink Telegrams)

Over the next week or so he will be testing this with the mindset that this could be much cheaper soon, and try to thus not just evaluate its quality and capabilities - but advise to gamers and professionals what price would make this "worth it".
And so - what do you want tested? What aspect of Strix Halo or this laptop are you most interested in? And for fun - what general AMD APU (both present and future) questions do you have for Tom and Dan? (Warning: It is unlikely Linux or AI will be tested, this is more of an evaluation to see what price this would be worth it to more mainstream shoppers)

Record unclear and messy audio and try AI software to denoise the audio and look if the NPU is fully used and how long the proccessing takes and how good the sound is.

2025-07-10 13:47:52 +0000 UTCI simply think 395 Max+ based systems are far too expensive right now unless you actually use them for the marketed niches. If AMD had released an APU with the 8060s igpu and one X3D CCD, and this could be found in mini pcs around ~$1000 and in laptops around ~$1400 that’d be pretty great i think.
