Problem with a N48 based 9080 XT would be that the 9070 XT is already pushed past the sweet spot. If I look at the 9070 XT's I tested you only lose 6% performance when going from 300 to 241watt! And between 363 and 241watt the difference is only 10-11%. So they might be able to push another 10-15% with faster memory and it using 500 watt but do you really want that? You make the product worse and it still can't beat a 5080. So I agree it's better not to release something like that. I think a 9070 XTX with 32GB and binned dies with slightly higher clocks would be nicer. It would be a nice future proof card that could last quite a while but can they do that for like 100$ extra? Otherwise it would not make much sense.
