Idk if you will still get this or not but here goes anyhow. Dawid, when using the vertical gaming mouse to play fast paced fps style games, do you feel that if there was a mass produced vertical gaming mouse you may be inclined to use it? I ask because I really want to see a solid gaming mouse sensor in a vertical mouse chassis and am frustrated that there are no decent options to buy right now.

Of all the desktop and laptop CPUs launched this year, which impressed you the most? If we consider the overall CPU market, do you think consumers have good options in all price points and form factors? Is there any part of the consumer CPU market that you consider to be weak or poorly served?

Chris Rijk

Hello Tom and David! Putting aside all of the major hardware releases this year, what do you think was the biggest or most egregious PC-related scam or controversy this year? Which do you think had the widest impact on the wider tech community?

Do you know what is going on with AMD's X3D CPUs? I get they are struggling with the 9800 ones, but it looks like the 7800X3Ds have also disappeared. Why is AMD suddenly having these supply issues after they had so much volume for the 5000 series modules all through the release of the 7000s and even up to the 9000s, when they decided to finally stop 5800X3D production. Did they learn from that, that the 5800X3D was cannabolizing 7800X3D sales? Are they still planning to keep making 7800X3Ds? I was planning to make a new Team Red rig sometime in H2 of next year, but now it seems that you can't get the new ones OR the old ones.

What do you think about the deluge of mini PCs this year, their pricing compared to laptops, and what you would like to see in the future (for example, less venereal disease bloatware and/or viruses)

FloridaMan

What do you think windows needs to do in order to turn the tide on the desire to abandon Windows the millisecond it’s convenient.

I am very curious to see over the next few years if Intel choosing to use TSMC for Battlemage, Meteor Lake, and Arrow Lake will be perceived as just digging the grave deeper. If Bob Swan was still the CEO of Intel, I think he would've waited for 18A to be usable, then launch the products. I don't see how the amount of money they are spending on foundry and design to production at TSMC could ever have been seen as a good use of money at this stage for Intel. I am sure ARC would've never existed too. Pat might have caused to much damage this round. Thoughts?

Valve offers to make the two of you official consultants for Steam Machines 2.0, and as part of the deal, puts you in charge of improving the Steam Hardware Survey. What do you change to make Steam Machines 2.0 a success?

Cleansweep

How do you feel about strix point (and upcoming Halo) in light of their generally high price points?

B. Fish

Which was a worst launch this year: meteor lake, Arrow Lake, or Zen5? Or maybe something else?

Woody Chang

Since RDNA 4 and Blackwell will be kicking off the new year, what are your personal favourite cards from Lovelace and RDNA 3? 7800 XT and 4070 gets my vote.

CompressedAIBlocks

How disappointing was Arrow Lake for you guys? For me it was worse than anything they launched on desktop since Pentium 4 in terms of relative competitiveness.

CompressedAIBlocks

With Battlemage releasing to very positive reviews, do you think this is a sign to the leadership at intel to continue with Arc even a little bit or is this just a dead cat bounce? I know you said over and over that Intel is facing serious issues over Arc and that the B580 was an obligation launh, yet theres so much positive sentiment right now. It truly feels like gamers like and want intel to continue in graphics, yet intel is extremely strapped on cash. Just seems like if Intel got into GPUs earlier it would have been so much better overall.

R3Dlove

What was the best product of 2024? I want to say 9800x3d but we have to remember that contrasted with a terrible Zen5 non-x3d launch. To be honest, maybe Hawk Point is a better choice- it's the first time in a long time that I felt like I had enough power portably with enough GPU for low end AAA gaming

Woody Chang

Which product vertical are you most excited for in 2025? The $500 GPU the market needs coming via 8800 Radeon card? APUs creating monstrousky powerful mini PCs? My person choice is what low power APUs could mean for handhelds and the hope of a dock able handheld that can be both portable and ramped up in a dock mode to 4k 120 high performance.

BaconHouse Collective

I am actually very excited for upcoming nvidia cpus. What price ranges do you expect nvidia to target?

QuickJumper

Did Intel launch anything good on desktop since alder lake? Like Raptor Lake was solid until we learned it was breaking. I am looking at this and this is basically give or take bulldozer level catastrophes perpetually happening. Like it's more of a miracle Intel has any money to function at this point.

QuickJumper

Which company/product line do you think had the biggest changes in mindshare in 2024? Pick a biggest gainer and a biggest loser, otherwise the whole discussion will be about Intel.

Lo_Res_Gamer

Intel B580 reviews is making me excited for the future of low end, I know you leaked that Intel pretty much canceled Celestial but I hope the new CEO of Intel sees the good reception from the B580 and double down on it and keep trying to make low end/ midrange card for the future. There is finally a sub $300 card that is actually good and has VRAM.
