2024-09-05 00:40:59 +0000 UTCI’m an actual PC user from Portugal with a desktop that I use primarily for gaming and I am still on Win 10. Years ago, decided not to upgrade to 11 after a bad experience on the Win 11 company laptop. Win 11 doesn’t have any advantages to me, it has a way inferior start menu, you have to disable the “Center” start menu, you have to hack to context menus to expand like the old way, etc etc. I also had some trouble with updates. All I see is countless problems and pointless changes over 10 that regress functionality. What’s the point? Tabs on File Explorer? Good job MS…. Very frustrating and disappointing

I really like the combo deal at microcenter which is for $700, you get 7950x3d, x670 mobo, 32gb ram. My question is: is it worth waiting for a 9950x3d to release? My main reason for waiting would be a possibility of dual vcache for gaming since there seems to be issues with the single ccd vcache while gaming. I don't have a tight budget but also don't want to waste money or time for the upcoming 9950x3d if it's going to be basically the same thing. Edit: or would it be worth waiting for arrow Lake in October?

2024-09-03 14:32:17 +0000 UTC46:00 Yeah, I just dont trust Microsoft anymore. I'd still be on Windows 7 if I could (Win10, USA). I'll try to move to Linux when Windows 10 starts having compatibility issues
