Could Call of Duty save XBOX Game Pass? (Die Shrink Telegrams)
Added 2024-05-29 21:04:44 +0000 UTCSorry for the short notice, but in an hour or so we will be recording an impromptu episode about the recent announcement that XBOX will be putting the next Call of Duty on Game Pass. The fact is that we won't have time to discuss this for the next Broken Silicon due to all of the Computex news about to drop...and so we wanted to cover it now!
Write in below with your thoughts about if this will make a big difference for the survivability of Game Pass, what could make a big difference for Game Pass, and anything relating to this business model and recent console news in general!

The only thing putting Cod on game pass will do is kill the sadness that series normally gets and prove that the current model of game pass is a failure and the only thing that will save it is to change how game pass operates, like what Dan suggested in an earlier broken silicon, such as releasing only certain games on there and discounting new games not give them away for free. They may boost game pass numbers but will lose the amount of money cod usually brings in.

2024-05-30 05:38:40 +0000 UTCPutting any game on game pass means that they are banking that you will play that game (and many other games) available on game pass it will keep you coming back month after month spending more money on dlc's maybe micro transactions. That experiment failed after my free months and I play games that I can physically keep and play long after said conglomerate says that game no longer serves their purpose.
