If you can't make it fit in the Loose ends (I wouldn't be surprised if you wanted to ask around at AMD and Nvidia about it before answering this question) I'll state that this question still stands for the next Broken Silicon/Die Shrink, if I forget to ask it again.

2024-03-02 00:08:40 +0000 UTCHi Tom and Dan, I know I'm a little late at this, but I just now remembered a question that popped in my head a while back. Currently, RDNA uses Rasterizatior cores that can do raytracing, saving space on the silicon, and Nvidia has more distinct raytracing, and rasterization cores and thus take more space on the silicon. So my question is, when do you think we will see raytracing cores, that can also do rasterization? Because I genuinely don't know what we could get out of more rasterization performance even now, so a reversal of Radeon's architecture would be most logical in my mind.
