Proposing crazy scenarios for Tom & Dan (Die Shrink Telegrams)
Added 2024-02-22 11:30:09 +0000 UTCMaybe Tom is "Joker Brained" because it's 5am after a long day of work...but he apparently wants the subject of the next Die Shrink to be a wild card episode...propose interesting scenarios for Tom & Dan to debate over... Here are some examples of what we mean:
- What if Arrow Lake launched in ONE MONTH with a 30% performance boost...what would that mean for AMD?
- What if XBOX bought Square Enix this year, and then removed SE games from PlayStation?
- What if PlayStation launched a Handheld next year?
- What if Nintendo launched a 20 TFLOP handheld this fall?!
- What if Navi 48 defeats the RTX 5080 and is sold for $499 in 8 months?
For the love of God, do not assume those questions are meant to be the center of gravity of this episode...but they are examples of what we are talking about.

I could see AMD really competing against nVidia for dGPUs and Blackwell. Because nVidia is laughing to the bank as its data center revenue grows by AMD's entire quarter revenue right now. With that said, I still like my what if scenario from Discord. What if MS signs with AMD to design the next XBox CPU/GPU and has Intel fab it.
