I've been playing News desk and made myself a nice list of things to look at. I also noted the few things you guys mentioned.
I'm going to do another playthrough so I can use all the cards with different levels of upgrade. It will go faster on the second go around since I won't be reading everything like I've been doing. Got to say, I had a good time playing and re-experiencing the story. Hehe. It had been a long time since I had played ND so I was able to experience it fresh. I'm looking forward to play Soldier's life later on to get the same experience. Lol.

Absolutely loved News Desk and its why I came here to try and give some financial thanks for the great games. Big agree with the comment that the early skew gives a really unique feel to the game that mirrors the narrative. I think the intention that those cards would get nerfed over time could have maybe been conveyed a bit more clearly though (unless I just missed it), as I spent a lot of the early game stockpiling resources and deckbuilding instead of progressing the corruption to make the games easier. Pleasantly surprised to hear that there may be updates to come for it in the future!

2024-12-18 18:47:13 +0000 UTCOne thing I personaly like is how skewed the game is at the start, and how you need to adapt to that in the beginning :) But boy oh boy do I look forward to a gold version of a Soldiers life!! :D
