Thanks Tom for the great discussion with Dan and one of your former hardware leak sources! It was a good sight into the nightmare that hardware shortages caused with pandemic; overall demand from mining and general use; and distributor greed/profit maximizing. As for CPUs and memory, it seems when applications and games can take advantage of the extra cores and memory the prices drop for the base level hardware such as 8 cores and 32GB of ram.
