it would only need 4GB on a Tegra system.

I just tested Harry Potter on a system I was building yesterday - it can certainly run on 8GB GPUs. It's running great in 1080p at Low Settings on a Rembrandt NUC! And actually, I think "low" settings in this game do look like the High Settings of a few years ago. But that's the thing - Hogwarts Legacy sees 8GB cards as low end now, and they are. Gamers with 8GB GPUs like an old 1080 or $220 RX 6600 will be fine playing in 1080p for another couple years...because they were given enough RAM for the price when they came out. But a 3070? A 3070 should have had 16GB, and the 3080 should have had 20GB - if they did, they would have aged incredibly well.

Moore's Law Is Dead

Hmmm, I thought the 8 gb apocalypse was because recent releases can't even do 1080p in 8 GB (Harry Potter, etc.)
