You're spot on with the 6800. I got one for $350 on ebay (I had a 6800xt for $425, I feel like the 6800 is a bit better deal). For gaming at QHD, its absolutely great and not a bad price. I think the move is wait a year or 2 to upgrade to 4k, then maybe get 7900xtx and be set or wait for 70 or 80 series RDNA 4.

Joysticks...I think controllers are expensive enough they should just use Electromagnetic sensors and never have to worry about drift again. You shouldn't get Nvidia level margins on cheap crap.

Scalping is worse for consoles because consoles make a lot of money from people using their services.

Personally I never experienced stick drift with my PS3 or PS4, but a few days ago I experienced some with my PS5 controller. Pulled the stuck, gave it a few good rotations, pushed it in, then a few rotations wile pressed, and it's back to normal. Camera no longer moves on its own.

Speaking of movies frames per second, have you seen Gemini man in 4K Blu-ray 60 fps version? It's quite impressive. I wish all movies were like that.
