Weekly Design Corner

Hey guys! Welcome back to my weekly-ish "Design Corner". A weekly discussion regarding the development of the game. A new thing I'll be trying for a while to see you if you and I both like it. It will feature updates and discussions regarding the design of the game itself. For Benefactors and Above

Everything is going well, the "sim" parts of the game are starting to come together, even if some things don't make sense in the game right now. Okay, let's get into it:

Bug Fixes!

After the last release I was busy trying to squash all the bugs. There were a lot of them because it was 3 months since the last release. I have 90% squashed, I believe. The only major one is going to bed at the wrong time could break the logic. I'll get that fixed as soon as I can replicate it.

Look who's coming to Edgeville!

That's right. Even though Jessica Rabbit was voted in and I got to work on her right away, she's going to take a bit before she can be put in the game.

Her environment requires that the city environment be a bit more complete.

But since we have the suburban environment a bit more fleshed-out, that means all the suburban Milfs can start moving in!

This is what she's looking like in the game engine!

IMPORTANT: This is not "Final" Lois. I'm still working on the model and getting her to look a little more like her traditional 2D look, while still looking like she belongs in Edgeville.

Here are some more screenshots, In-game:

As you can see, she has a unique model and therefor a unique shape to Dexter's Mom, Glass, and Mrs Incredible.

I'm still working on the Griffin House (in the back).

Also, you can see that she's floating (as well as the house). That's because I still need to work on the terrain there as well and patch up some of the missing models for the road/curb.

When can we expect to see her in Edgeville?

This next release coming up should take care of all the bugs, and you'll be able to interact with her a bit.

You'll only be able to have a quick conversation with her for now, though. So please don't expect to see any HScenes until another update.

CONCLUSION
