Discussing Lovelace, RDNA 3, ARC, and Upcoming CPUs with Tech YES City - Guest Telegrams
Added 2022-11-12 00:36:34 +0000 UTCBroken Silicon's next guest will be Bryan from Tech YES City! This should be a fun talk centering on an eclectic set of subjects:
- RTX 4090, 4080, and Lovelace in general
- Nvidia's GPU Dominance, and what could cause them to lose it
- RDNA 3 and RADEON's Future
- Intel ARC
- Upcoming CPU Architectures
Bryan is excited to have some in-depth discussions about what makes these companies successful, and what we expect out of their future products. Please feel free to ask about the Gaming Market as a whole or any upcoming CPU Architectures MLID (or others!) have leaked!
You have until Sunday Morning (11/13) US Central time to submit your questions/comments below! Use good grammar, be as concise as possible, and be respectful to be considered.

all these performance enhancing features like SAM go into the final benchmark results at the end of the day, so you can just rely on those, as long as the benchmarks are of a config you're interested in.

2022-11-14 19:12:17 +0000 UTCI’m curious whether Smart Access Memory is a compelling reason to get Radeon over Geforce for a 5800x3D user trying to game at 4k120hz.

2022-11-14 02:08:43 +0000 UTCHi Bryan! Fellow Aussie here, am wondering what do you think the differences are when it comes to selling/buying 2nd hand tech vs how it's done in other nations (US/EU)? Loved to watch your videos regarding 2nd hand parts but do wonder what have you heard from your other viewers about their own local 2nd hand buy/sell situation, since I've had American friends shocked that I'm so relaxed about getting things 2nd hand. And the 2nd question, do you think we'll ever see more local manufacturing/independece of tech products that can be localised within Australia? Especially with the macroeconomics situation, would Australia having our own manufacturing in close partnerships to foster a local industry with future products to really help with how overall weak position in advanced manufacturing (since we're really only either a tourism or minerals/ores nation atm). Many thanks!

2022-11-13 14:16:26 +0000 UTCDo you think that AMD will release 7950X with 3d cache? What would that mean for their next flagship CPU? Will it compete with their cache'ed up 7950X? Does 3d cache work well with 2 CCDs?

2022-11-13 10:45:07 +0000 UTCHi Bryan! Welcome to the show! In your time back in Japan, have you looked into the DIY Techtube space? I recently started there because I am learning Japanese so I figured, "meh why not interact with some of the techtube space there." What I have thus far is that the interest is slow but seems to be growing nevertheless. A lot of times there are not first, but maybe second, in terms of regions to get product reviews. If you don't mind, I would like your perspective on the topic. Thanks in advance.

2022-11-13 05:58:55 +0000 UTCIs raster performance hitting a wall? Do you guys think RDNA4 and Blackwell will be the last generation with a sizable raster performance increase?

2022-11-13 00:14:22 +0000 UTCFirst Patreon Comment. Have either of you seen the FSR 3 vs DLSS 3 comparison using a 13900k and a RTX 4090 at 4k ? Its out there. The comparison shows equal frame rates and FSR being either indistinguishable or just slightly favoring DLSS 3. If you havent I would suggest you do a YT query. If you have then please give us your opinions. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rygLgIj1024

2022-11-12 23:55:51 +0000 UTCTwo of the many YouTube creators I have watched in regards to the RX7900XTX performance have explicitly said we should not expect outstanding performance at 1440P. The reasoning behind the reduced speeds at the lower resolutions had to do with limitations of the chiplet design. I realize most of the content regarding the new AMD cards are speculation but I would like to hear your thoughts.

2022-11-12 20:19:12 +0000 UTCHi Tom and Bryan, how much importance do you attach to product names compared to their price and performance? Would a different combination of numbers and letters in the name change your buying decision? If Nvidia had kept the bad naming of the 4080 12GB but had priced it reasonably, do you think they'd still have been forced to "unlaunch" it?
