To comment on the VRAM mail question. I have an ultra wide 1440p 144 Hertz monitor and I'm considering a 6900XT or whatever the equivalent chip is for the next gen maybe the 7700XT or 7600xt. I wouldn't want to be held back for VRAM or have any stuttering issues. I would be looking to hold on to this card for 3 years. Don't know what the games are going to need ,VRAM, in the future. I think 12gb would be the minimum I would choose. For me I would like to budget between $400 and $600. For that upgrade. That's why I'm looking for a sale in the 6900 or it's equivalent in the 7000 series. What are your thoughts for future games for VRAM usage?

If I were one of the sweepstakes winners...I'm taking the money and buying BTC. On another note, I installed the new AMD drivers yesterday, and I was using a slightly tweaked version of GN's settings on my 6900XT. I kept getting a fail on Time Spy and Port Royal tests until I upped my undervolt from 1080 to 1090 and after that I passed. Played some Halo Reach and no crashes so far.

Its really stupid they canned optane now CXL is finally here. But maybe intel already saw it did not perform better in the labs? From that BrokenSilicon episode they mentioned the current interfaces are to slow and have to much latency to effectively use optane. I hope Intel wil revive it in the future. And on AMD Mendecino would be great for budget builds. The AM4 chips with one ccd and io die or apu's with big gpus are to expensive in comparison. HWU was able to buy a A380 but way to expensive. It's really strange how Intel is handeling this.

Great to see thanks Tom & Dan
