The metaverse vision has so many aspects: immersive interaction, gaming, content monetisation, social media & collaboration...and so on. In amongst all of these facets, how important is the idea of convergence between the virtual and the real? Is the metaverse a parallel universe or something that seeks proximity to what we experience in the real world?

Many have already sacrificed much of their privacy for other tech features and conveniences (i.e. live traffic alerts & rerouting) so is this an unavoidable future? Is there a way to avoid it? ;)

If that's already changed on the Quest, then my apologies. I stopped using Facebook 3 or 4 years ago and won't start in order to buy a product.

I know of talk of a PS5 PRO, but I think that Sony would be looking at some silicon to help with PS3 emulation (even if it is just a few instructions that are hard on the X86), and improve bandwidth for PSVR2. Other than some 3D devices coming out, are there any specific goals for Metaverse? What is the target that we are supposed to be looking for that isn't incredibly generic?
