Broken Silicon's next guest will be a fan favorite - NX Gamer.  This time we will be heavily discussing:

Check out Michael's channel - this guy is a one man Digital Foundry that I know personally is well connected in semiconductor and gaming circles.  He knows his stuff - both with PC Hardware, Console Hardware, and upcoming games!

You have ~24 hours to submit your questions and thoughts below (Till late 4/2/22 Evening).  Use good grammar and be as concise as possible to have your comments considered!

With twice or more raster performance as a 6900xt, not to mention high image quality upscaling, what new frontiers will the next generation of GPU's open? Is raster performance "solved" for high refresh 4k at that point? Do we end up with a poly per pixel mesh density? Where else will we place that computing power? Physics? Better AI? What else?

If i'm not mistaken I believe you mentioned you had/have a job involving network engineering (with Cisco devices?). Anyways, if that is the case, could you elaborate on how you see the hyperscalers redefining the position of the merchant sillicon vendors, or any nascent trends in networking/switching. Especially as AWS has moved to their Nitro smart NICs, Google has a contract with Intel for Mt Evans and both Intel and Nvidia have programmable switch architectures with Barefoot and NVswitch/Spectrum-4 respectively. Thank you for your time

Hi Tom & NX. With the fall of Google Stadia, do you think other cloud gaming platforms like Geforce Now, xCloud, Amazon Luna will also follow suit? Why are gamers reluctant to subscribe to these services, it seems so revolutionary when Stadia was announced.

Anything else you can tell us about MGS Remake on ps5... ANYTHING... thanks.

Hello! Tom you have mentioned how Sony was thinking about ps5 pro, but in a recent broken silicon you also mentioned how they might have scrapped that idea. So right now what's the most likely thing to happen? I personally wish we don't have ps5 pro so ps6 could come sooner instead of another long gen for like a decade lol. PS: love both of your's content, I was actually re listening to the old console/nx gamer BSs from 2020 and then a week later NX Gamer is back!

Hello! Will we ever actually get close to 4k 60 on the the current consoles? Right now on most games it seems we have a quality mode (4k 30) and performance mode (1440p 60). And why aren't we able to get near it? Is it because most games are cross gen right now?So when we get only next gen games, then can expect them to be somewhat close to 4k60?

How viable do you see the Xbox Game Pass model in the long-term? Remember that it's not just the year-one sales of a new game release that they need to cover for, but due to game streaming, also lots and lots of server hardware that cost about 5K per rack, and operating costs.

Gotta ask hard question of NX Gamer: which aspect is most important in coming near future for gaming development focus: 1) network code/connectivity online 2) graphics performance + features + latest hardware to run games 3) software quality (drivers, game code, engine code, OS choice....)

Do you think Sony will ever release a version of PSVR2 without wires? And if you do, when would it release at the earliest? Does the PS5 wifi even have the bandwidth and latency capable of streaming to a hypothetical wireless PSVR2 at the same resolutions as the wired? Can it use a dongle instead?

Since we are talking about psvr in this podcast. I would like to ask if there is any hint of vr coming to xbox? I know Phil Spencer doesn't think vr would be something people would want on the xbox console. Another VR competitor in this market would be nice.

Do we ever think we might see a FSR/RSR built into the TVs or monitors them selves?

Hi Tom and NXGamer, Price performance has regressed to 2016 level due to shortages during the past 2 years. I know that no one can safely predict what will be the situation with covid in Q3-Q4 2022. I also know that we expect price to fall back around MSRP during the summer I have many friend that have cards between a 1060 and a 5700xt who have been looking to upgrade during the past two years and i have told them to wait the whole time. Should they get a 3080 or a 6800 xt if their price fall to MSRP during the summer , or should they wait for Lovelace/Navi3x since we expect one of the biggest leap gen2gen of the past 10 years. I'm eager to hear what are your thoughts about this.
