Hi Tom, how many patrons do you think you got just to get Reesy on each video?

Alex

Hey Tom, Do you ever see nvidia burning Nintendo in the future? How have they managed to stay on friendly terms when companies have a history of burning bridges?

Will alderlake mobile be more competitive with M1 silicon once it comes out, in terms of power efficiency? What are your expectations for power savings and efficiency with intel's Big.Little design? Lastly what do you think about mobile ampere performance uplift from last gen turing, personaly just got a new laptop (3080 80 watt) and it doesnt seem to be much better then older 2080 super max q ones. Thanks!

Will AMD have a consumer level alternative to CUDA for machine learning (for tensorflow to be more specific) or NVIDIA will be the only option for home AI PoC? Will we see a TITAN variant?

Hey Tom can you guess what would happen in this alternate reality? If Intel's 10 nm (now Intel 7) was ready out near on time (I think around 2017-2018) and they continued tick tock to an extent, how different would things have looked between Intel and AMD? (Like for example: Would Intel still be stingy about adding cores? Who'd be in the lead today? Etc) And thanks for the great content as always! You've become my favorite YouTuber lol!

Hey Tom! I want to take the conversation away from the leading edge of performance and the highest end for a moment. AMD noted in their Polaris launch that most people spent about $300 for a graphics card, and that price point back then was surely the best value for money, which I can attest to myself with my RX 580. Similar things can be said for CPUs at $250, especially with the 600 Ryzens. With the current and foreseeable price increases across entire lineups, where is this "bang for buck" price point now?

When do you think we will start hearing more about Rembrandt? Do you think it will be more than 8 CU?

Manuel A. Arroyo Perez

In the recent Broken Silicon, I remember hearing you say that if Intel can take the performance crown from AMD they should go after it now with recent rumors of Alder Lake we are hearing that the top i9 may use more voltage than Rocket Lake. Do you think this is because Intel is pushing the chip to beat the 5950x or is this just Intel being very inefficient again. Thanks Tom for everything you do. Alderlake launches in just 2 months, I am excited

Hey Tom, It's still early days on the current gen of consoles, but both of them have 8 cores with SMT enabled. I imagine this is a recurring question but: when do you see games coming out that really rely on 8c/16t CPUs for maybe more advanced AI or mechanics - if ever? I constantly ponder this from the perspective of when to upgrade my CPU to an 8c/16t. Thanks for your work and for recognizing my name in the latest Sacred Symbols+ episode :) Cheers!

Hey Tom, Halo Infinite’s had a public tech preview showing a slice of the multiplayer. How does it look to you? The graphics appear much improved from the demo and it’s given me a bit more hope, though I still feel it might not release this year. Have an awesome day!

Hi Tom, I'm new around here but I've been lurking for a long time in the free feeds. My question is, As I understand it the ps5 has a dedicated chip (like a cpu) on the ssd to aid with loading game assets, do you think we will see this tech on pc hardware soon or will AMD Smarr Access Memory or similar take it's place?

Alex

Thank you Tom! I apologise in advance if this has already been addressed by you, I may have missed it: Throughout this month, I've heard whispers about an alleged Ampere Super series rumoured to be launching around year end but nothing more. What do you think the refreshed lineup will look like? Will they replace all the current regular/Ti models with a single Super card? Do you think they'll also finally stop being stingy with the VRAM and bump it up at every tier or pull another 3070Ti w/ 8GB? Finally, what price points do you think these'll hit? Given the current market, I don't know if we should expect them to replace the current lineup at the same prices like we saw with Turing. Thank you once again!

In a recent WAN show Linus mentioned how increasing raw material costs (like copper aluminum and plastics) may be affecting electronics pricing. Considering that copper only costs a little over $4 per pound, it seems like raw materials would only be a tiny fraction of the cost of producing a GPU. How much does this actually affect pricing?

I've taken a couple weeks off from work so I just want to know how Reese is doing.
