Comments

Gotta agree with the Intel buying Global Foundries sentiment. Intel has historically been a company that does things THEIR way and solely THEIR way. So, other than gobbling up IP what are their plans? I have a hard time thinking Intel wouldn't just want to clean house and replace the whole Fab floor with how they do things. The TSMC and Samsung fabs in Arizona are couple years out yet, so other than just becoming the prominent US manufacturer, what's the play here? They're also doubling down on added fab capacity in Europe, so they are really making power plays for capacity.
