Indeed its harsh ,BL3 for example is in NZD 130 for the base game 50 NZD for the season pass and now they have the stones to drop a 44 dollar 'season pass two' which has less than half the previous content.

Yeap I have essentially the same hair efficiency curves haha.

I am a big fan of podcast, it fit perfectly into my routine. But listen an hour long podcast on youtube just didn't make sense to me, that's why I always use podcast app for Broken Silicone, and watch every video on youtube. Youtube statistic will suggest I am a sub that didn't like BS, but watch every video you uploaded. But in fact I sometimes listen to BS multiple times when I didn't catch every technical details 40km/h on my bike to work. My point is, views count of podcast on youtube alone might not reflect how well they actually perform, or what fans want from the chennal.

Yeah, it can be kind of frustrating to move forward in certain moments. I was following the Patreon Subs numbers over the last 2 month and it was very rough for you guys to get the numbers rolling from 920 up to the latest goal.

I bought a vega 56 for $250 when the mini boom started, and along with my 1060, I will pay it off in about a month, but I have no intention of buying a new GPU for the MASSIVE over priced prices.

IMO, it becomes quite a bit easier to not buy full-priced games when you have a job, family and a huge back catalog of unplayed/barely played games. Just wait for sales or free games via PSN, EGS, etc. You can still go out and treat yourself for the odd game here and there that really grabs your attention.

Amiablechief

disagree, price creep is real, and imho almost no game is worth 70$, consumers think in chunks, 50 is a great spot. MSFTs "innovation" was to push prices to 60$ and hock crappy DLC, I'd rather wait for a steam sale

raywin27

70$ aint that expensive. Especially in current 2021 climate (gamestonks , gpu prices). Yes I get not everyone can afford excessive, but there are still options. But like stated, better to pay 70$ (or used price for game disc; or sales) than pay 40-60$, then see tons of adds in every menu and update to shove more questionable content(remember Rainbow Six Siege DLC/season pass/credits mess?). At some point, Battlefield 3, yes it is good game, yet at that game clearly it turned to season pass model with DLC's (prepaid season -> get upcoming ? DLC packs).

We, ehm , got Duke Nukem Forever. Guns n Roses album after 15 years. And Ion Fury. And HL Alex. Waiting is fun.

I'm just here waiting for the Half Life 2 episode.
