Die Shrink 36: Minecraft (Favorite Games)

To say Minecraft left an impression on gaming, and me and Dan – would be an understatement. It really wasn’t a kids game – it was an innovative randomly-generated survival game that really was more of a hardcore PC Gamer indie title than some kids game. Of course by now it has sold over 200 Million copies, and it is ubiquitous. This is one of our favorite games – one that went from being a niche indie darling to mainstream domination.

This is a bit late but I think Minecraft became known as a kids game when it was released on Xbox 360, that's when it blew up with the younger audiences. I went through the same process to get it as you did, found it because of Yahtzee's review of it on ZP

I play this mod called applied Energistics 2, and before my world started having problems(looking into) I had a massive automation crafting system that has around 30GB of storage and 33 cores that each had 10 or so separate cores in each. I had sub systems and so much more

I always thought minecraft was for kids so i never played it. Have been thinking about trying it out now but still not sure.

I still remember Minecraft a decade ago. I figured it'd become big over time, but it's definitely blown me away with its mainstream success. Never was crazy about the game, but it did influence the likes of Dragon Quest Builders, which I enjoy.

Was very excited to listen to this one. Minecraft was my first pc game, started playing in 5th grade it was 1.2 or so it'll always have a special place in my heart. Such a cool game.
