2020-11-23 07:59:15 +0000 UTCRight around the time Skylake came out, I was trying to upgrade from a Pentium Dual core E5300 to a 3570K. I had the system all built with the exception of the CPU. The Case and the RAM was the only new parts.. Everything else was used or refurbished. I had finally ordered the 3570K to go in a used MSI z77-g41 that I had got for $40. After waiting a while, Tigerdirect informed me it was backordered. I got pissed off and put my LGA 775 motherboard in the new case. I ordered a Core 2 Quad Q6700 and overclocked the snot out of it!
