Tom, great pick for a fucking guest today dude, get more finance heads and Business bobs cause that is how you make tech interesting and investible for the suit cult .

The name reading at the end has gotten quite a bit longer than it used to be. Nice work.

Interesting so far! (20ish minutes). AMD did game a scenario in which semi-custom spun off as the surviving part of the company, iirc. I guess “spin everything else off is probably more accurate!

Hi Tom, Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, I caught that.... but as an analyst I would have thought that he would have had his mind around the size and scale of the upcoming Sony and Microsoft releases that encompass the RDNA2 "light" versions of AMD's tech. These, according to your own previous youtube videos and broken silicon episodes, should sell millions of units over the next few years. I would like to know how these additional revenue streams tie into projected GPU, CPU, and server market share gains. PS. I know you covered a lot of important ground today, and for that I am grateful. I just thought this was and is an important segment of AMD's business model that seemed to be passed over today. Thanks again.

He did touch on that - it was incredibly important for AMD to have both XB1 & PS4...but it only strengthens their position...it isn't a silver bullet for their overall competitiveness.

Also, there was an omission of the role that the new console business from Microsoft and Sony would have on AMD's future.... Please comment if possible.

Nice, but I thought there was one glaring analysis that was missing.... What impact is big navi going to have on the GPU side of AMD's market share and corresponding impact on Nvdia?

Nice
