Last Minute Telegrams: Tech Deals
Added 2020-06-27 19:25:48 +0000 UTCThis one is really last minute - we will be recording in under an hour with the Tech Deals duo. I say "we," because Dan will be joining this guest episode as well! We are trying this out!
We will be discussing general topics and tech product releases that have occurred over the past few years, so any questions are welcome. Additionally, I am thinking we may veer into Game Prices and Hardware Prices a lot....so keep that in mind as a guiding subject.
Please put your comments, concerns, and questions below. Use good grammar, be concise, and we may just get to you!

2020-06-27 21:36:32 +0000 UTCWhat do you think about current AMD motherboard prices, are they justified or do motherboard makers making the prices artificially high for profit?

2020-06-27 21:22:20 +0000 UTCTill now their where some roemers about that their will be some other gpu designs other then Intel. Is their any romours or news of any new gpu compatitors to AMD and nVidia other then Intel.

2020-06-27 21:17:21 +0000 UTCregarding the cracks in AMD RDNA 2.0/Navi 21 nVidia killer, now it looks nVidia pult out yet again a few aces out of their sleeves. Would AMD stil be possible to beat nVidia and take the performance crown? Or do we have to wait yet another year till RDNA 3.0/ Navi 31 what are youre thoughts

2020-06-27 21:09:54 +0000 UTCAMD is fighting hard en past years they keep surprising us with cpu and gpu innovations that where made up with Keller about 5 years ago. Now they work in tandum teams to keep on top in cpu and gpu space, but will they be innovative enough to keep a head of Intel cpu (and gpu).
Dragonetti 031
2020-06-27 21:00:07 +0000 UTCwhen do you think Intel will be returning with a real cpu compatitor 2021/2022 and when Intel returns will they also have a compative graphics solution or not will AMD keeps suprice us with their Inovations.

2020-06-27 20:49:57 +0000 UTCIs it me or is Intel still trying to get attention via fals/shady comparison, like the industrial cooled 5ghz what 28 core cpu. That said AMD also put misinformation out their. What do you and guests think about bad pr behaviour.

2020-06-27 20:38:53 +0000 UTCDo you think gamers and tubers are going to be ready, from a cultural stand point, for the shift to shorter product cycles? 1600AF, XT refreshes, super line up, The "best" in any price range could be changing a couple of times a year.

2020-06-27 20:16:30 +0000 UTCWhat advice would you give to evaluate the price of a component ? What rational do recommend to evaluate the life time of a component ? For example when buying 2700x should we assume it is going to last 1year less than a 3700x? Or should we think it performance 15-20 % so it will last 15-20% less time. How should we use price- performance ? And is it possible or better to used life time-performance ?

2020-06-27 20:11:24 +0000 UTCPlease give some advice/ share some insights you have for funding your YouTube careers.. Your channels have differing means of supporting yourselves (and many that are similar)- I think each channel could learn from each other in this regard (MLID has strong Patreon incentives and TD has things like YouTube subscriptions [among other things]) (and us aspiring full-time content creators in turn)

2020-06-27 19:57:59 +0000 UTCWhat were smallest changes you’ve made to your shows that had the most profound impact? What about the opposite (what has been the most effort you’ve put in that had the least impact?)

2020-06-27 19:49:29 +0000 UTCWith the heavy association of the upcoming title cyberpunk 2077 and, initially the 20 series of gpus followed by the upcoming 30 series of cards, have any of you ever witnessed a closer association in the run upto a major game launch and if not, do you believe this may set a precedent for future architectural launches and if so, could you see "For the ultimate experience, use ampere family gpus" messaging be used to not only increase marketing for the product but also influence pricing

2020-06-27 19:48:04 +0000 UTCThis would be a question for the tech deals duo. I would be interested if there was any upcoming hard drive deals? It could be an internal hard drive or USB 3.0 storage drive. The capacity can be 8tb plus and the usage is not for gaming.
2020-06-27 19:46:53 +0000 UTCMicrocenter is selling the 3950X for $669.99. The 3900X is $399.99, $309.99 for the 3800X, $259.99 for the 3700X, $189.99 for the 3600X, and $159.99 for the 3600. 2020-06-27 19:44:35 +0000 UTCNow that game consoles and PCs have an architecture in common, and at least the PS5 has a digital only version, do you ever envision 3rd party marketplaces like Steam or Epic will be allowed on the consoles? In theory, the consoles should be able to play pretty much any PC game out there right now.
2020-06-27 19:43:09 +0000 UTCWhat are your thoughts on game subscription services such as Xbox game pass? Also what are the best ones or improvements current ones could make? Growingly up for RPG games I would always rent them and play through and then return. I feel like that is basically what we have with subscription models. I only pay RPG games once through usually. Also I'm more encouraged to try new games this way so I tend to like them.

2020-06-27 19:42:28 +0000 UTCIt's rumored that the RTX 3000 series will have 4X raytracing performance VS RTX 2000. With this in mind, will Nvidia maintain pricing for 60 / 70 / 80 class GPUs or will they push prices even higher?
2020-06-27 19:41:37 +0000 UTCOffshoot of this question. What kind of impact do you believe the consoles will have on GPU pricing this fall?
Aric Jackson
2020-06-27 19:39:16 +0000 UTCIf price for AAA games increased over $60 what price, if any, would you be okay with? Just the game without anything extra like season pass or expansion.
2020-06-27 19:37:30 +0000 UTCQUESTION: I've been considering adding a second GPU to my Davinci Resolve Rig, but there seems to be a graphics card shortage going on. How long will the human malware induced shortages last?

2020-06-27 19:35:50 +0000 UTCWhen I look at the task manager in a game like Doom Eternal, I see all 32 threads thread evenly used. The game runs amazingly on even moderate hardware because its built properly. I am wondering how long until game devs generally do it right as they did. Games with much higher budgets have horrible performance efficiency. I really hope the new MS Flightsim will run super smooth like Doom because that's huge for that kind of game.

2020-06-27 19:34:23 +0000 UTCNice. I like the Tech Deals Channel. They have good SSD and NVME reviews.

2020-06-27 19:30:40 +0000 UTCHello Tom and wonderful guests, For arguments sake, let's assume the consoles are both $500. What do you all believe, regarding what a GPU will have to offer (at $500) to justify buying it over a console? Differentiating features? Massive rasterization/raytracing performance lead? Thanks
