Will the architecture of a high end PC look much different compared to what we have today once the benefits of the PS5 are realised.

Julian Vito

Will you ever stop crediting me twice in the patron shout outs? It makes me feel bad, as if I did something morally wrong, getting thanked twice!

What're your thoughts on the recent IPC rumors for Ocean Cove? BS or not?

Once VR headsets get high-res enough, do you think virtual monitors rendered in VR will replace monitors even for flat non-VR games?

Edward Huff

What are your thoughts on the AMD 4000H laptops that are starting to roll out (Acer Nitro 5, Dell G5 15 SE, Asus TUF A15)? Seems like pricing is all over the place, especially with the wild disparity in terms of dGPU, RAM, and SSD capacity in each one.

Do you have any inside knowledge on whether the current lack of Ryzen 4xxx laptops (other than Asus) is solely human malware-related delays, or were the partners slow in coming up with designs? We were supposed to have the Lenovos in early April and they still haven't launched, and I don't know of many others other than Asus/Lenovo even listing their SKUs.

How's it going Tom? I was sitting around today and I had a moment of clarity where I wondered "Where the hell are the OLED monitors?" We have OLED displays for phones, laptops, and TVs, but they're suspiciously absent from the desktop space. Do you have any idea why there's a drought of OLED desktop monitors?

Hi Tom :) Do you think that rdna 2 or Ampere will be strong enough (combined with a pcie gen 4 SSD and ddr4) to be on a ps5 level or do we have to wait for ddr5 and faster ssd's? Greetings from Switzerland :)

Tom, someone like me wants a next gen laptop to keep up with next gen consoles. I can wait ~6-9 months. Do I buy cheap now and upgrade later or wait? These apus and next gen gpus look sick so I'm at a bit of a cross roads.

P.s. gonna miss Dan in the podcasts 😔

Could we look into the actual real life benefits of PCIe 4.0? And maybe ddr5 and PCIe 5.0? What are those speed increases going to effect in day to day use?
